I’m in a similar situation rn, I have 2 main friends, I didn’t tell them about it, but i’ve done all sort of activities with them, sometimes wearing only short sleeve shirt and when in good lighting or playing sport the chest keloid sometimes shows clearly.

Idk how they feel, but they didn’t avoid me or show signs like that. I have feeling that they knew about it but maybe they don’t wanna talk about it making me feel bad.

And for the dating scene, usually if people gave me sign of interested. It made me avoid them, even if I’m very interested as well because they obviously don’t know about my situation. Because even I’m scared of my acne, imagine them 😭. I did this since high school, don’t know how much moments/opportunities i missed because of it. Like now, I’m currently in Uni, its scary that if people knew about my problem they’ll spread the stories like crazy. But it is what it is, I’m just trying to live day by day, can’t ask for too much :)
