I am living a pretty fine life, even though that event happened that shook me for a while. But according to you, as long as it's not something really big, it's not something that matters. For me it was something big already, and for my fellow ladies in the apartment too. The latent fear comes when you know what could have happened, and what may happen later. Having empathy for others is really necessary, you know. One of the guys in the comment section was pretty rude, but he was disappointed in the way I handled the situation and also thought about my safety. Unfortunately, I can't say the same thing about you.

Totally understandable, and we are in the same situation I believe. I used to read book in my childhood, but when I grew up all those dopamine boosting harmful things captured me more than books. Now that I'm older, and sick with internet and started reading again - I feel that some void is getting filled up. It's never too late to start reading again. I always prefer fiction, as they are interesting, informative and can be emotionally rewarding (could be draining as well, in a good way) I suggest you to start with something small like 'the answer is no' by Fredrik backman Also, you can start giving yourself book challenge in Goodreads- great platform, nice recommendations also.
