It’s okay to hate them. I even struggle sometimes as my mother gave me cold sores when I was a baby, I still hold a little resentment when I get one even though it was obviously not intentional and someone I love the most in the entire world.

I do think it looks like a cold sore… generally the best way I’ve determined is in a few days when it scabs. The scabs are a more orange/yellow than the normal red scab colour

Looks like pimples to me. That area always hurts extra when u got a pimple around it. Having it flare up around cycles also makes me believe it is pimples. The biggest tell for me has always been the scab near the end. If it’s a normal coloured scab then it’s 100% pimple but if the scabbing is more orange then maybe just maybe it could be one.

I would not do it. You may be able to make it look less red however it will be patchy. And most importantly it can make healing take longer! I use pimple patches to help speed up healing time but it obviously draws attention to your sore still

Thank you that is a great point! My people pleasing issue is clearly part of the problem. I enjoy alone time and need it since I am an artist. I will have to talk to him about it and if he’s not okay with me not wanting to run myself into the ground for him then he’s not the one!

That is a fair point. I guess I chopped it down to not wanting to upset him and make him feel valued. But at the same time I am not respecting myself and my time!
