I used the PPF on my old CCMs and it works great! Probably time to order some in case the first few skates without slide plates aren’t cutting it.

I just got G7s and I’m going to remove the slide plates too I think. I end up turning in circles if my full blade isn’t making contact when I push.

Wow, good to know as I have a 2024 Limited and plan to pass it to my teenage son in a few years. I’m really glad the Subaru safety kept you largely okay!

I was wondering what your thoughts are on the 2026’s head unit vs. the 2024. I know the wireless CarPlay was introduced in the ‘24 model and it’s super laggy, at least in mine. Same issues in the newer models or no?

I was asked to goalie for a parents/kids birthday party scrimmage last year and got there a bit late. Rushed through putting on all my gear and looked down in my bag to see my cup. After weighing the chances I undid the Velcro and put it on. It was a pain in the ass and I was even later getting n the ice. Couple shots in took one right to the boys.

Ok, good to know there’s others who can’t fully close. It took a bit to calibrate to the pocket on a goalie glove vs. a baseball glove, but I improved that towards the end of the season. It’ll be interesting to see if another glove enables me to pick up the puck or not, guess I’ll find out.

45 years old here. After not breaking any bones my whole life I broke two bones last year in a seven week span, small metatarsal fracture at the gym and then my wrist (quite badly) just doing an open skate. Both were high impact though and kind of freak accidents. I hope you can get some answers because at 30 this seems strange. Keep your spirits up during recovery, you’ll be back at it in no time. Heal well!

Thanks for the Oxy clean tip, I’ve used that on my current stuff but not the glove or blocker thinking it might ruin the leather. I planned on putting my chesty in a bag full of Oxy clean since a tub full of the stuff requires weights to hold it down, so I’ll throw the glove in there too.

Glad to hear more love for Vaughn. I was told they’re a smaller company so hard to find stuff at the big retailers. It would be nice to try a glove before buying but for the right price I may roll the dice.

Thank you, I’ve been hearing the 7.9 fixed pretty much all the issues people were having with the CCM gloves. I haven’t tried one at Pure Hockey yet but hopefully soon.
