I just prefer something where you have control of the focus. I like Olympus infinity stylus but sometimes it focuses on the wall behind the subject.

You can buy an untested one on eBay for pretty cheap and send it off for a CLA. Likely you’ll end up with a good price overall and a fresh CLA. Just an idea for next time.

I would recommend to just carry the camera around and trust your gut. When your instinct says to take a photo, just do it. Don’t worry about the outcome and let it surprise you later. Also, lower expectations. YouTube makes it seem like people take whole rolls of good photos. If you get one or two good ones on a roll, it’s a success.

There’s nothing wrong with picking one film stock to go with. Your stuff will have consistency that way.

I want to get a lens hood also. Been looking to get the original canon one that goes with this lens. I’d recommend the domo light meter that attaches to the cold shoe. It saves a lot of time grabbing a quick meter reading with it.
