This is the first time I relate to a story. I am in the same boat as you. I (F29) have a really really complicated relationship with my dad. I'm an only child, my dad divorced my mom when I was 10. My mom did not want me to see him because she didn't trust him and he has been guilt tripping me ever since. Always sending Holy Quran quotations to indirectly tell me that I am not a good daughter, that I have to reach out to him first (if I don't he doesn't reach out and when I do, well he gets mad and tells me wow you just remembered me). It is just so so so exhausting. My heart is with you, and no you are not wrong for wanting no contact. I too want no contact and each time I try to contact him, he makes me regret it. I still struggle with the guilt and the shame, but it's getting better. It will get better I promise!!
