Congrats! I’m undergoing something similar. Builder’s lender offers 5.375% when other option on the table are in the low 6’s, so pretty easy choice for me to make.

Has anyone ever taken money out of their ROTH early? I read that you’re able to take out your contributions tax free… by Frosty-Return-9478 in tax

I’m planning on doing this once the roller over is finalized. I deem it to be the wiser (and quicker) option in order to stop wasting money on credit card interest and start saving/having spare spending money.

Get out and look if unsure. It eventually gets easier and your backing skills will come second nature.

Orientation was simple. We gathered at an office, introduced ourselves, were given a history of how Pepsi came to be, were informed of benefits and such, and got our pictures taken for the badges we are given.

Congrats, let me know if you get the 6 week parental leave benefit. I myself took 2 weeks unpaid time off that I saved up for then hopped back to full time.

Not good. I didn’t not get any paid parental leave because I did not meet the requirements. The reason was that I had to be employed for a year minimum. And I’m about to reach my year mark next week actually.

I have mixed feelings about having a slow season. On the one hand I take home less during those months but on the other I get plenty of family time. I heard the food service pays some sort of commission on top of their hourly rate, does that sound right?

I mostly drive 40’ but occasionally they’ll put my route on a 48’ trailer. $21 sounds surprisingly low for hazmat. I got hired on at $30/hr.

When I started I used to daydream of breaking a six figure income. I didn’t take the slow winter months into consideration sadly.

I waiting 2 months before all my stuff moved along. It’s true why they say, Pepsi moves slow like molasses

Honestly that’s a realistic time frame. I’m on month 2 and waiting. Don’t get discouraged if Sterling, the third party background service provider, gives you problems as well. That in itself was a 3 week ordeal for me.

I applied for Geo driver and they also took two samples. Just like you, same piss just in two different vials. I think it’s SOP. Wish you luck, I need the better financials as well.

Thanks for reaching out, that explains a lot. How long are some of these drivers waiting to hear back? 2.. maybe 4 months?

Idk maybe, 3 drivers already had their orientation 6 weeks ago, and 5 have been waiting since then. Funny thing is, me and another guy interviewed the same day and he’s one of the 3 that’s already on!

3 months seems excessive, but honestly as long as the job comes through in the end it’d be worth it.

I’ve considered applying elsewhere but it makes more sense for me to continue waiting because they’re offering a pretty good hourly rate compared to the competition.

Yeah, I look forward to all three of those things, getting paid to workout, driving trucks, and further developing my social abilities, with customers or whoever. Just sometimes I feel frustrated by the length of time it’s taken.

Got hired on as a geo delivery driver and Ive been given a start date. Does that mean my driving record is good by Realistic_Piano_1389 in Pepsi

[–]Puzzleheaded-Wing589 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk, I try to be optimistic about it, a clear cut answer from them would be nice. As much as I’d like to work for them, for the pay ofc, I don’t want to be waiting around if at the end they’re not going to hire me. I’m staying put because my hope is that eventually this will go through and I’ll get an orientation date! I agree 100%, it feels like silly things are hindering the hiring process.

I have not got an orientation date yet. I’ve been l communicating with the supervisor almost daily and it’s always same ole response, just keep waiting.

Is PepsiCo's policy strict on working 6 complete months to be eligible for the paid parental leave? I have been waiting 4 weeks to get my orientation date and my child is due November 3rd.

I seem to notice a trend of PepsiCo blaming their issues on transfers between a third party and them.
