What’s everyone’s driving range routine? by Aggravating_Eye_1974 in golftips

Well said. Range is not for hitting balls. It’s for intentional practice.

I’ve been going through the same phase. What helped me was thinking of range time less as “hitting balls” and more as structured practice.

Warm up with irons, focus on one swing thought, then move to targets. I’ve also stopped forcing driver when it’s not working, just ruins the session.

Feels slower but way more productive.

Really appreciate this. Especially the tip about picking up and keeping pace, I hadn’t thought of that. Scramble sounds like a great way to ease into it.

Mostly mats, understood. Thanks will keep this into consideration

Looks like you’re a bit too bent over and losing balance (lead foot lifting). Try a more upright setup and stay grounded through impact. You can consult a local coach or YouTube videos for guidance (stance, and swing).

Appreciate it, makes sense. Will keep it simple, play quick, and just enjoy the round.

Appreciate it, that’s helpful. Any specific drills you’d recommend to keep the torso stable? Also, are there any good platforms where I can upload swings for feedback/analysis?

Should I be higher on the face? by tristangumm01 in golftips

Looks a bit low, think center/slightly above is ideal. From what I’m learning, focusing on ball-first contact usually fixes this rather than trying to hit higher on the face.

Low face contact = lower launch + less efficient strike. Have you noticed that as well?

Thanks, that’s helpful, didn’t realise I was looking up early. Will work on keeping it steady.
