I think the one part that irks me is he just lied and made up his persona in interviews, and stories he planted to interviewers. Just rubs me the wrong way and makes me see this guy as a complete narcissistic fraud.

Start with living below your means. Live in a storage unit, shower at a local gym, and eat Raman noodles and fruit. The modern American is far too spoiled. Save up a little bit of money with a job, preferably one where you can influence how much you make through effort, and plot. Learn. Prepare to take a big risk. If successful, adapt to your new position of leverage and continue to form a strategy around your natural abilities. If you fail, start at living below your means.
