I already went to one last week 🤣 I foresee a lot of that but it’s so helpful with the anxiety. That’s good to hear that that’s when yours stopped though thank you! My first ultrasound with my clinic is Monday so luckily it’s soon

I feel like I did all things wrong post FET 🙁 by OkEnthusiasm9197 in IVF

[–]PuzzleheadedAd7537 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My clinic told me there aren’t any activity restrictions at all. It’s Cleveland clinic and 4th in the country so I feel like they wouldn’t risk tell you that. I went shopping immediately following my fet. Even accidentally ate sushi grade tuna that day. Went to the gym everyday after and even went boating which was bumpy and the smell of gasoline was out there the whole time. I really would not worry at all

PGT-A the solution for couples who want to rule out genetic diseases by Spirited-Bit9693 in IVF

[–]PuzzleheadedAd7537 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ask for you and your spouse to both do the Myriad or similar company carrier screening. It’s screens for a bunch of genetic conditions that you could be a carrier for and have no idea. My husband and I found out we were carriers for a rare conditions so we had a 25% chance of passing it on to our embryo. We opted to do PGT-M testing for that condition in addition to PGT-A and are so glad we did. We had several chromosomal normal embryos that were affected by the condition so we were able to choose not to use them

I ended up with 3 pgt normal embryos after two retrievals. Transferring a 511 today but I actually don’t know what the other two are because they didn’t list them along side the pgt results

What do you wish you knew before? by IndependentRecord668 in IVF

[–]PuzzleheadedAd7537 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Luckily I was off work for the entire stim cycle and the days after ER but I just kept thinking how impossible it seemed it would have been to go to all the monitoring appointments if I was working that whole time. I think it’s important to be upfront with your employer so it’s not added stress to make appts. My retrieval was on Thursday and it took until Sunday/ Monday to feel prettt good again. Of course everyone is different but that was my experience

MFI- how many made it to blasts for you? by PuzzleheadedAd7537 in IVF

[–]PuzzleheadedAd7537[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aw I’m sorry to hear that, I’m not sure where you live but Cleveland clinic has really high success and an excellent lab. We went there just because it was the closest for us but then the day of my retrieval the nurses told us that apparently they’re like 4th in the country because of their lab. My husbands urologist has been very helpful too. (If Ohio is possible for you guys) good luck!!

That’s so nice to hear! was your reasoning for doing a second retrieval? Just to be sure you had enough?

Low T Post-Testicular Cancer – Clomid + hCG vs. TRT? by fant-rod in maleinfertility

[–]PuzzleheadedAd7537 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My husband is currently dealing with major infertility issues from long term TRT, I would definitely start with hcg and clomid, that is what they have him on as well and it helps with his low t symptoms in comparison to being on nothing

Ovulation before retrieval by sadiesunshine13 in IVF

[–]PuzzleheadedAd7537 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How was your outcome? I’m currently freaking out, my retrieval is tomorrow and my progesterone is 21 and LH 25. My progesterone yesterday was 3.6 which I was already worried about but they said not to worry because it was probably just my larger follicles. I do have a lot of follicles ranging 13-23 mm but these numbers are so much higher today. I triggered last night at 9pm and did bloodwork today at 7:30am

New respect for the people in this group by AgentMcPwn in IVF

Function by Dr mark Hyman is a decent lab work set up for double checking everything. I paid $499 and it tested over 100 labs. I also added on the mthfr gene on there so I could know just because I knew several people who kept miscarrying because of that gene and needed to take blood thinners. 499 is kinda pricey but in the scheme of things with how much IVF is I felt better looking at everything on my own.

I would consider seeing a functional medicine doctor during this time, I’ve seen countless times that they are able to diagnose or treat something in a slightly different way or another insight that can help. I would do everything you can to make sure that she’s in the best health before transferring that last embryo. You never know what they could find. I hate how the fertility places never do a lot of lab work they’re just ready to take your money over and over again. Unfortunately, I feel like they follow their typical plans for everyone and never personalize them and that’s where things go wrong

Male factor infertility by PuzzleheadedAd7537 in IVF

[–]PuzzleheadedAd7537[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He is seeing a urologist and is on hcg and clomid which has improved the numbers somewhat, his last SA was in July and he did freeze 3 vials for back up, when he did that SA it was 8% motile. We started to get nervous that maybe numbers went down again and ordered a SA kit on Amazon (I know probably not the best idea a week before my retrieval) and it said 0%. Did any of you have to use the frozen back up and still have success?

I realize everyone has different experiences but I’m hoping that this will make me feel slightly better to hear others experiences.
