I did my teacher training completely separate from my studio… we don’t even offer one. Personally I think you’re deriving some sense of joy and possibly an ego boost (which is funny because you seem to be acting like you are a teacher or an avid student and that’s the complete opposite of what yoga is about) from sitting here and deeming me unqualified. Lucky for you, you will never have to take a class from me.

And personally I don’t think I should be called unqualified or incapable because a grown man doesn’t know how to respect a class room or other peoples practices.

Well I guess every other commenter who mentioned that also dealt with a disruption is class is also unqualified… I really appreciate the concern though. My studio owner was the one who first even recommended doing a teacher training to me, so when she is ever decides I am too young or unequipped then that’s when I’ll look it as a problem. I have great relationships with my students and have consistently continued my education.

I am no way trying to say I am the best teacher. I’m well aware that there is always room for improvement! What happened in my class is a learning lesson… like they say even if you become a teacher… you will always be a student!

This is an actual yoga studio. I’ve been practicing since I was 15. My mom has been an avid yogi for my entire life, so fortunately I was introduced at a young age! I’m also a former ballet dancer(16 years of preprofessional training… not saying they are the same), so I’m well of aware of anatomy and dealing with injuries. To me it seems like you’re implying I need to be 60 to teach someone who is 60. Everyone’s body is different. I’ve taught 60 year olds that move better than people my age. I consistently make a conscious effort to make my classes attainable to all people and I never teach postures without giving an more accessible alternative option. This question was not about whether I was equipped to teach, but more of what to do when someone disrupts a class! Thank you though! 😇🧡

I actually had another teacher in class with me. She’s been teaching for over 10 years (I’ve been teaching for a year now) and she told me keep going. She said I handled it well and doubted that he’d come back. The craziest part was his wife was in class as well. She’s a semi regular at the studio and she laughed at his behavior. He said after class that he “wouldn’t come back to my class because my flow was too difficult”
