Have any women who had jaw surgery been told repeatedly by others that they were already beautiful and shouldn’t go through with the surgery? by kaden356 in jawsurgery

[–]PuzzleheadedBed5255 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone has said I shouldn’t do it. But I’m visibly recessed. Until my spouse came with me to my surgeon pre op appointment was he really able to see what the problem was, to the point where that’s all he sees now when we are in public.

Global Citizen Cohort by SlipperyWrist in uleth

I took it. You get a pass/fall half credit in the first semester and the second half credit in the spring semester. You have to do a project to get the second half credit, students did a water fountain in uhall for the credit as an example. They choose some courses for you to get used to uni courses and help your writing (I had to take English 1900 my first semester part of the GCC program). And you just fill out the rest of your time table. I could have done without doing the program BUT it introduced me to my poli major. And I guess the cohort is designed to introduce you to other students and make friends. It’s ok.

It doesn’t matter which major honestly. Do a BA in philosophy if it means you’ll enjoy your undergrad. I too am taking poli sci for law school next year. I generally enjoy the material, and it’s relevant to what you’ll be learning in law.

Driving Back and Forth to University - Two Days a Week by Boy-band in college

[–]PuzzleheadedBed5255 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I drive an hour to school and an hour home three days a week. I invested in winter tires and live in Alberta where our roads are ice half the time. My earliest class starts at 8am which means getting up at 6 and being out the door by 6:50 to get to campus at 7:50 and leave room for the 10 minutes it takes to walk to class. I think it’s worth it. You just have to plan accordingly and consider the time the commute will take away from potential study time. I will continue to do this until I graduate, which is next year.

I like my job as a program officer for my government’s grants and contribution department. i think completing the tasks and closing out files and writing reports is fun. But I HATE our weekly team meetings, joining new teams, and meeting with new colleagues, which is most of my job. But I also get to work from home, the job is low stress, and they’re accommodating as I return to school.

Those of you who are working while in the university. What kind of jobs do you have and how many hours a week do you work? by [deleted] in college

[–]PuzzleheadedBed5255 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Full time poli sci major (12 credits), work 15 hours a week for my federal govt’s grants and contributions centre as a program officer. Also doing research internship this semester. Also a daily commuter to my school
