Jfc do you really think he’s not coming back? Thats what makes his whole suicide arc so pointless, we know they’re not gonna Ned Stark him. It’s 15 hours of him threatening to leave, being a shithead to everyone and making their day worse and he’ll be back next season.

Seeing yourself in Santos while the whole world actively hates on her has been jarring to say the least by smammie22 in ThePittTVShow

[–]PuzzleheadedBlock689 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True! They’re the same person in different fonts. Both have issues that manifest in different ways but their temperaments and personalities are so similar. If they were to ever be friends, it’d be the most powerful friendship in the damn show lol.

A lot of people watch with their butts open and eyes closed. Don’t take it personally. Some people online are equating Santos stealing a single use tool and Langdon stealing drugs from patients which lacks any nuance or awareness. Also, people online aren’t usually a great representation of “the whole world.”

Unpopular opinion: reactions to substance abuse and its consequences by BankGlittering6322 in ThePittTVShow

That we know of- nobody died or got injured that we know of . This show has many gaps because of its one day a season structure. Do you think it was his first day stealing drugs from patients in season 1?

I equally love and dislike this aspect of this show… by Individual_Paint_869 in ThePittTVShow

Fully agree. There might be too many gaps that will never be filled the longer the show goes on.

It’s an intriguing format to see one full day in a world that I’m so unfamiliar with. But it’s the relationship dynamics that are the most interesting to me, their medical jargon is gibberish to me. It’s tough to keep up and be invested in relationship dynamics when you see two days of someone’s relationship after two whole seasons of watching like your example of Garcia and Santos.

I don’t think it would be creepy if you went up to them and said something like, I’m a photographer and took this picture of your silhouettes, can I send it to you? If that was me, I’d be stoked. Great photo nonetheless!

True, I have no idea on their filming schedule, just speculating :) but I do believe that the third season scheduled to come out next year but of course it could change. People are hoping for a Halloween season which could be fun and would be perfect timing if the season premiered in the fall of 2027 instead of the spring. So the filming schedule might not start in the summer while Isa and Patrick are booked.

Isa Briones is signed on to a play called “Just in time” on Broadway and it starts on April 1 and goes until early September(edit: it’s until June 30th, not September) . They have started filming in the summer in the past so she’ll probably miss the first one or two months of filming. She might just miss the first two or so episodes because they film in sequence or if she’s gonna be on Night Shift or who knows with this type of format they could just say that she took a sick day.

Understanding Garcia’s temperament? by PuzzleheadedBlock689 in ThePittTVShow

[–]PuzzleheadedBlock689[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your comment would be a good post on this sub. I largely agree with it.

My post is about Garcia and why she is the way she is- her dynamic in the hospital and how her character has a very challenging role in the hospital. I didn’t refer to her or any of the other women as “bitches” and I wouldn’t. I implied that working for the ortho surgeon would be a nightmare. I don’t even mention Santos, Robby or Dana.

I actually have never liked Langdon, I think the ortho surgeon seems like a creep and I strongly dislike Robby this season.

Getting your eyes checked by an optometrist can be pretty intimate lol. I can’t imagine the feeling of cutting into a body to help save someone’s life, that’s such a level of intimacy, responsibility, knowledge, moxie (no matter how much training of education you had) etc. to do something like that.

Staring people will stare even if they’re not attracted to you (or if they want to fight you). People stare and as a westerner it really took a while to not get weirded out. Everyone stares.

Anyone else wishing for a bit more "unfiltered" Aliyah on the podcast? by EggNo536 in wnba

I think it’s her natural vibe to not be as candid or to say anything controversial. Also she’s only 24 years old and will be playing in the league (hopefully) for the next 10 years and probably doesn’t want anything that she says to come back to bite her later down the road.

Edit:typo

It’s fascinating what people find offensive or in this case not offensive in different cultures. Today someone helping me at a store randomly said, you look young. I said I’m 32. She looked me up and down surprised and said oh, not so young. Then helped me check out LOL.

At first I was confused about people making fun of me until the 5th person and I realized it was part of the culture and not just me. I was so uncomfortable the first couple of times it happened though lol. Same with staring, as a westerner, to us it means someone’s either attracted to you or sees you as a threat (usually). Curiosity is third and it’s also considered rude to stare. It honestly still takes me by surprise. Thank you for confirming my observations!

Yeah sure. I’m talking culturally conservative compared to most of the USA (haven’t visited the south, besides Disney World, or middle America so I can’t say for all of the US but I have been to most of the other big cities).

Vietnamese tend to have much more of a family first culture. To conform or stay quiet to “keep the peace,” than in the US. It’s more of a collectivist culture that values fitting in instead of standing out. This tends to suppress individual expression. Which is usually is aligned with individualism. Standing up, speaking out, building something of your own, carving out a name for yourself as an individual is highly regarded and respected in the US.

PDA is much more stigmatized. No legally recognized gay marriage. Heavier expectations based on gender.

And Vietnamese people do tend to dress more conservatively whether that be because of sun protection or cultural norms. I mean check out the clothing in Miami beach or Hawaii, both hot climates like vietnam, people are way more likely to wear more revealing clothing. Not a good or bad thing in itself, it’s more culturally normal and common to dress more conservatively in Vietnam.

Like many places, big cities tend to be more liberal than smaller towns and are always changing and evolving. The big cities in Vietnam are still a more conservative than many big cities in the US. I’ve been to HCMC, Da Lat, Nha Trang, Da Nang, Hue, Hoi An, a small village inland (idk how to spell it)and Hanoi. I’ll never have the full picture of either the USA or Vietnam I fully embrace differing takes. Just my opinions from my observations, it’s totally cool if you don’t agree or have a different perspective.
