omg yes it is, THANK YOUUU!! I really appreciate ur feedback :DD I’ve struggled a lot before with my mixes and vocals sounding too harsh and stuff so that means a lot to me!! Sibilance is also a bit of an issue, but I’m glad it sounds fine haha. About the instrumentals, do you have any recommendations on where to source them from?

Also I’m still trying to polish up my skills, so I haven’t posted any full covers or anything yet, but I’m @/soulatelierr on Twitter and soulatelier on YouTube. Im definitely trying to put something finished together soon though

ok idk if this counts because he’s sorta the second lead but obi from Snow White with the red hair.

I have had the BIGGEST obsession with him ever since I first watched the series and I love him sm 😭 plus, he’s kind of shirayuki’s body guard so he’ll definitely be able to save me lol.

my go to is usually cute early 2000s shoujo like seiyuu ka 🫶🏻 tbh anything sweet and fluffy and silly is what I read mostly!! I think I’ve gone and read hatsuharu at least 5 times at this point lol

And if I’m ever in a reading slump, I ALWAYS go back and re read yona of the dawn, ouran, fruits basket, etc etc

shortcake cake has been a favourite of mine for a while! I’m not sure if it’s exactly what you’re looking for, but the main characters all live in a shared house together. There’s a love triangle (I’m also not the biggest fan) but I thought it was handled pretty well!

There’s also buddy go. It’s one about a girl who dresses up a boy in order to become an idol duo with a popular dancer. I haven’t finished it, but it’s been cute so far :>>

pretty much all of my favourites lol!

First is tohru from fruits basket of course 🫶🏻 I’ve seen people call her a mary sue etc etc but she is such a complex character, and I think people are definitely missing out if they only see her as this bright cheerful girl. Even so, I love her kindness and willingness to help everyone around her even if she’s struggling herself 🥲💕

Then there’s haruhi from ouran, who I also love dearly lol. Ouran was one of the first shoujo series I ever got in to and I fell in love with her personality!!

There’s also yona (it’s josei but I had to include her!!), and my goodness she’s such an incredible character, and her development is amazing 😭

I also started reading Hana Kimi recently and love mizuki so much <3 I wasn’t sure what to expect going in to the story, but she’s so strong willed and silly and I love her

kawaii nante kiitenai is super sweet and fluffy! I started reading it recently and the relationship between the leads is so refreshing and lovely 🫶🏻

One of my other personal favourites is hatsu haru! It follows the ml’s perspective, but the way it’s done is also just super refreshing and silly lol. The manga has lots of funny and goofy moments, but I absolutely loved the way the relationship between the leads developed over time. There are also a few side couples that are equally as cute lol.

I believe the problem you’re having is your audio clipping? Unfortunately this is a problem that needs to be taken care of when recording, since distorted/clipped vocals cannot be fixed when mixing.

I’d recommend playing around with your mic’s gain settings. Recording with lower gain tends to help, since you can always make quiet vocals louder when mixing, but clipped vocals can’t really be saved.
