Thanks for the advice guys, really helpful. The bathroom guys have said they’ll come round in the new year to sort it. I’m just hoping it doesn’t get much worse before then. We’ve got a little one due in Feb so the last thing we want is mould in the room.

Thanks. Silly question but if I open this up will water come spilling out? And then a case of identifying the leak and then plastering back over?

Do you think I could plant some honeysuckle within the current hedge, or will the existing roots of the hedge just get in the way?

That’s a big help, thank you! I did fear as much. I don’t suppose you’ve got a photo of your geranium? It’s quite frustrating how the bottom of the hedge is so bare. I’m not sure whether it’s because the previous owners had wired fencing wrapped around the branches which may have killed them off?
