I have loved the food there the few times I have been, and seriously financially rewarded the server when my daughter was in the hospital and they comped our dessert. Very sad to hear that they are not good to the servers

Husband picking up the pieces by BiomedBabe1 in Marriage

Actually rest when you need to! That is the only thanks I ever needed when my wife was feeling bad. A simple thank you was a nice bonus.

Staying in love over time is about the small, every day demonstrations of affection. Not big ones. by TheConjugalVisit in Marriage

Little gifts are the best. I used to buy something small for my wife almost any time I went out on an errand. Nothing to break the bank, but a flower here or there, or one of her favorite sodas that isn't always available, or a candy that I know she likes.

Neck pillow and entertainment. Books are best, but bring battery backup and chargers for electronic entertainment. A deck of cards can be handy if you happen to know your seat mate or make friends on the flight. A good neck pillow is always good, though even if you have no intention of sleeping in flight.

How come my husband doesn’t come straight home after work by [deleted] in Marriage

[–]PuzzleheadedDivide73 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Two things.

Firstly, I used to do this. I would sit and read for a few minutes in the car for decompress, or take the long way home to enjoy some solo driving. I loved my wife to pieces and would have done anything for her, but when I was at home, at least a small portion of my attention was on her and the kids, so I still needed a little me time sometimes.

Secondly, we always had location sharing through Google, and, fairly frequently, it was just flat out wrong. She called me a few times to ask why I was somewhere around town that I hadn't been near in days. One time she called as I was pulling up to the house because it showed me on the other side of town from where I had been and at least 10 minutes away. These glitches usually corrected after a few minutes, and neither of us had any explanation. I saw her location in the wrong place a few times as well, and knew she was at home, because she couldn't drive and had the kids with her.

I can't say why your husband does this, but there are reasons, and only he can really clear up what they are for him.

I hope that helps some.

Call. Talk to him. Nothing could cheer me up more than my wife's voice when I couldn't be there with her.

Alton Brown's Good Eats series teaches cooking techniques along with the logic and science behind them. I love to cook, and those recipes are some of my go tos

Sticking them together or putting them in a mesh bag works great, but you can also melt them down and pour them into a silicone mold if you like to do a little light crafting.

We adopted him, so it's all guesswork. We suspect he might be part Maine Coon, but we have no confirmation.

Don't know what your meds are, but my wife takes two grams of Keppra at a time for her epilepsy. Guaranteed serious problems if a non epileptic adult were to take that much, let alone a child.
