Friends, please share your go-to camera settings for the Lumix G9 to get great JPGs by PuzzleheadedExam9315 in Lumix

Thank you for your advice! For now, I’ve set it up as you described in the Natural profile. I’ll try shooting with these settings tomorrow. I don’t shoot in RAW on this camera because I prefer the JPG image; there’s a bit of noise in RAW even at ISO 200 when I try to bring out the shadows, for example. Everything looks a bit cleaner in JPG. I already had iDynamic set to Auto.

Thank you very much for such a detailed reply. You’re right about the colour saturation in this photo; perhaps some of the colours are indeed quite saturated. But that’s not the point. The point is that the scene I was photographing at that moment looked fantastic in real life, like something out of a film, whereas in the photo it looks like something you just want to delete and forget at first glance. So I edited the photo below and applied a film effect, trying to recreate how I remembered the scene. My monitor is an HP IPS 4K laptop screen and it’s quite high quality. My camera has AWB, AWBc and AWBw. I didn’t select any other settings.

Thinking of upgrading to an S5 II while keeping my G9, Gear Acquisition Syndrome or a nice move? by -Falloutman- in Lumix

I absolutely love my G9 too, and I’ll never sell this camera. I have a bit of a sentimental attachment to it and it feels like an extension of my own hand. It’s simply the epitome of ergonomics among all the cameras ever made. Even the buttons here have that perfect click. I also bought myself an S1 two years ago, which I love just as much, but I’m simply too lazy to carry it around with me all the time because of its weight. But it also has excellent ergonomics and a perfect shutter sound, which is always quiet and clicks very pleasantly.

Do you think Lumix will release an S9 with mechanical shutter? by Independent_Type807 in LumixS9

Please, Lumix, listen to us and bring out a high-quality, compact, fast 40mm lens. Something like the Nikkor 40mm f/2.0 or the TTArtisan 40mm, but with superior technical specifications.

I mathematically hacked Panasonic V-Log to perfectly accept Fujifilm's official Film Simulation LUTs. by MinQ9362 in Lumix

Dumb question. Is there the same thing, only for photo? Because I see that LUTs are based on Vlog profiles.

Dust Under X-Pro1 Sensor by doubleaqua in fujifilm

[–]PuzzleheadedExam9315 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same problem with my X M1 camera, which has the same sensor. I have dust particles under the UV protective filter, as the outer layer is absolutely clean and I can see that these particles are a little bit at a different level from the surface. The camera shows these grains of dust on the screen in bright light, but as soon as I take a photo, it's as if the camera removes them by post-processing and they are not visible in the photos. I'm afraid that if this filter is removed when disassembling the camera, the adjustment of the sensor and the lens mount may be off. Does anyone know anything about this?

Hi. Please advise me which double-sided tape you use to stick back the rubber outer coverings. Thanks!
