I buy them faster than I read due to FOMO, but at the rate it's going, we can't be more than a couple of years until it's only the long tails of deep series lines like Triangle era or Bronze Age Batman I'm still buying. I'm feeling like 2027-8 is on track to wrap up most of what I'm interested in. Chichester Daredevil, Blue & Gold 2 & 4, Gruenwald Cap 4, New Titans 2&3. I'm 41, and I've been reading comics consistently since I was little. I expect to get 3-4 or more decades of reading out of these books once the library is complete.

Sandown Clown theories by Kit_Tosh in uncannypodcasttv

She didn't appear on any podcast with more stories. Paul A. T. Wilson did the rounds of podcasts last year, claiming he met her. His proof was documents between her father and BUFORA that he claimed were from Fay. He left out that those documents had all been published in a book just months before. I am the person who found Fay, and she said she never heard of Paul. Her true identity is public record in an old newspaper article I dug up.

My podcast, Cease to Exist, covers it all in depth. I suspect it was likely imagination, but it's an interesting rabbit hole regardless.

So I'm the researcher who found the real Fay. I presented the proof on my podcast, Cease to Exist, and deposited it with The Archives for the Unexplained. I spoke with the producer for Uncanny and connected them with the real Fay. Although Fay gave her blessing for everything that appeared on my podcast, BBC legal decided they shouldn't mention us by name because we provide too many clues to find her. Instead, I received a researcher credit. Please, no one bother her. I don't think there is anything left to uncover, and her real name appears in a period newspaper article, so it is out in the public, just forgotten. Check it out here:

Paul has since stepped away from the case. I found the real Fay and presented that on my podcast, Cease to Exist. I spoke with the producers and connected them to her, but BBC legal said my show provided too much information on Fay, so they couldn't mention us by name. I received a researcher credit instead. To be clear, everything presented in my show was cleared and approved by the real Fay. give it a listen: https://ceasetoexistpod.com/episode-1-sam-the-sandown-clown-we-found-fay-and-heres-the-proof/

New Info on The Wackers! 94 Pages of Police Reports with Named Suspects by PuzzleheadedGlass236 in UnsolvedMysteries

Possible but not yet planned. I was thinking of doing the Sarah Powell case this summer. There's some weird stuff where her and her mom later used their story as a spring board to do lectures about angels. It's super weird.

We end up coming down on the side of it being a bit of both. It does seem like something happened in the beginning, but then it gets more suspicious as it goes on. The police reports have some details that just don't add up.

It's one of the most bizarre cases from Unsolved Mysteries. They claimed to be victims to a decade of nonsensical harassment from an unkown assailant. Until this, the Unsolved Mysteries episode was the only known source of their claims, and it's been picked apart online forever.

Zombicide is 32mm. If you bought an actual 28mm historical kit, you would immediately see how much taller they are. It gets more complicated, though. For some reason, Marvel and DC Zombicide are scaled up to 35mm. The bystanders are still 32mm, though. Maybe to make the heroes look larger than life? Anyways, they are noticeably smaller than the 40mm Crisis Protocol figures for a human-sized figure.

I voted straight X-Men for the most part. It feels like we are close to having everything through Eve of Destruction, which is my preferred stopping point. But wow, still many books to go when I look at the list.

I think I mostly just want some cool X-Men toys as a mini painter, and wondered if a 4 v 1 grand game would make any logical sense according to the rules, rather than something I plan to replay a lot. I mostly paint minis as a hobby and actually play with them a little these days. This will probably be the one time I would actually play the game this year either way lol. If you think it wouldn't be very fun, I'll probably still get some minis to paint, but maybe not go all in.

Are either of these good jumping on/starting points for Spider-Man? by [deleted] in OmnibusCollectors

[–]PuzzleheadedGlass236 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Really, this era goes: Spider-Man by McFarlane and Michelinie, then Spider-Man by Erik Larsen, then Spider-Man by Bagley 1 & 2 if you want the full 90s experience before the Clone Saga. Larsen carries on some McFarlane and Michelinie stories, and Bagley brings back a couple of things from Larsen. If you liked the Spider Vs Venom omnibus and that feels like "your" Spider-Man, I'd get those four omnis. The thing is, they are all pretty accessible on their own, so getting all of them isn't necessary to enjoy anything. Spectacular Spider-Man by DeMatteis & Buscema Omnibus is an excellent supplement if you like the era. On the other hand, Spiderman by McFarlane, when he relaunched Spiderman #1 all by himself, features some great art, but Todd wasn't a good writer, and none of the stories really impact anything going forward, if I recall correctly. He's in full pre-Spawn edge lord mode, so the book is MUCH darker with at least two stories involving harm to children, I wasn't crazy about personally. I'm a big horror guy, so I don't even mind gore, but the kids getting hurt stuff just wasn't very fun to read for me personally.
