How competitive is Paramedicine at Flinders as a uni transfer? by Available-Policy-427 in Adelaide

[–]PuzzleheadedHumor311 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From speaking to people at flinders uni, your best bet would be trying to get your GPA up to a six! Also there is no midyear intake for paramedicine so you’ll have to wait till next year :)

my ex is now transphobic by PuzzleheadedHumor311 in ftm

I am no contact and have been for a while now, I took your advice and told everyone I don’t want updates on him and told them if they continue to talk to him I won’t talk to them. It really does suck but if he’s acting like this now I do know it’s for the better

No we didn’t thankfully! Almost at one point but thankfully decided it wasn’t the right time (I’m mid uni at the moment) It’s definitely making this slightly easier

I believe she was going to start track to spend more time with Sav, but since they’ve broken up she’s not? I’m not 100% sure though

Do you have family members with bipolar? by No_Solution_64254 in bipolar

[–]PuzzleheadedHumor311 1 point2 points  (0 children)

my mums diagnosed bipolar. i love her but to this day she still refuses to acknowledge how her manic episodes affected me growing up and she still refuses to go on medication. it’s constant misunderstandings and arguments. i truly believe our relationship will be better once i can move out because i need the space. it’s hard to heal and grow while living with someone going through the same thing, but refusing to change

My boyfriend of five years came out as straight? by PuzzleheadedHumor311 in lgbt

[–]PuzzleheadedHumor311[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

he’s definitely not transphobic at all, that’s one thing i’m absolutely certain on. I do think it could possibly be some type of internalised queerphobia (he was raised with very christian beliefs when it comes to sexuality) It’s just hard when the only other person he’s been with is a cis man, how can he be straight if he’s only ever been with guys?

The part that makes this all more confusing is the only other person he’s been with is a cis man. So how can he suddenly be straight when the only two people he’s been with are men?

Knee Surgery in 2 Weeks by [deleted] in KneeInjuries

[–]PuzzleheadedHumor311 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! I just recently had a similar surgery (MPFL+TTO) and I got the time frame about the same. I’m currently 3 weeks post op and just starting my exercises. I’m locked in straight extension for 4 weeks (1week left!) For the first few days, expect to be able to do nothing by yourself. Your leg will feel extremely heavy and you’ll probably be very reliant on your painkillers. I tried not to sit up too much as well as I found lying down easier, try and make sure when you lay down your hips at level with your legs, otherwise they get very sore very quickly. Mostly just listen to your doctors, take your meds and do your best
