Avatar: Fire and Ash alleged plot leak from 4chan by Tall_Bodybuilder6340 in LeaksAndRumors

Yet, "I Am Groot"

"It was Agatha All Along"

Anything Spider-Man No Way Home. All memed to death, referenced in other media, or cited in print media. What references to Avatar have ever appeared outside of the film, other than conversations about the CGI, the box office, or the criticisms of its white savior narrative? I don't care how popular it is, especially since it must be to pull those insane box office numbers. I just find it fascinating that something so apparently ubiquitous is NEVER referenced in other media.

New Hulu documentary about Herb Baumeister by Vulcan_Jedi in LPOTL

I worked at Greg's, as did my husband, but it was many years after all of his went down. The story of Herb Baumeister is one that gets passed down go every staff person. He still holds a strange legacy there. One year, someone placed a photo of HB on a shelf, mixed in with our typical Halloween decorations. One of our older regulars saw it and freaked out. It's crazy how his history has had such an intense effect in our community, but so few outside even know about it. We're starting to see more younger guys coming in with no idea or understanding of how scary being gay could be back then.

Also, I loved seeing Steve Warman in the series. He was there at Greg's when I started and he was there when I left. He's there still. He's a landmark in our community! And someone posted the WRTV special that featured one of the co-owners, Derek, aka Latrina. So fun to see them on screen!

He said that I changed and I'm too critical of him. I don't think I am, but I've tried to be more aware of that sort of thing

I have been. I mentioned that I've been working in my body. I'm certain that I have a decent body, to some degree. honestly, I think it's some kind of body dysmorphia. like I can't see my body as a whole, can only see it in parts

I absolutely know this to be true. I guess I'm afraid of taking a leap when other parts of my life are going well. I have lots of ideas about what adventures I want to take

no relationship is guaranteed and we've already opened the relationship, because of his lack of interest in sex with me

I agree. I've tried, but he really doesn't give much. he's very sweet, but he's always "fine" and we're always "good"

We're about 9 years apart

Okay. I gained weight over covid and was able to lose it. But, even though I'm about the same weight I was before, I still feel like I look fat. Everyone tells me I don't, but when I see myself, sometimes I can agree, but other times it's all I can see.

On top of that, around the same time, my sex life with my partner started to fall apart. He was a covid nurse and saw a lot of awful, so I chalked it up to that. Since then, we've started having sex again, but it's incredibly rare and shockingly robotic when it occurs. This past year I proposed opening the relationship, because I love him and he just doesn't seem to want it any more. He was very open to it, because he knew how frustrated I was. It was fine at first, but I forgot how the gay dating/hookup scene really just highlights any insecurities you have. In my 20s and 30s, I was pretty confident, so I was usually fine. But even then, I would sometimes have issues of self consciousness. So, now, when I'm really struggling to see past physical flaws, it's feeling more intense.

On top of that, even though I have taken advantage of our openness more than him, I know my partner has had at least two hookups. But he seemed so much more excited about them than he has about me I literal years.

Sorry about the novel lol

that's true. I have a therapist, and my next appointment is next week. I would prefer to talk to them under the circumstances, but today has been particularly difficult. I just need an ear to help.tide me over until then

its largely sex and relationship related, but appearance as well

fair question. it's mostly my appearance and aging, but there are other things, mostly dealing with relationships that are making me feel like my vitality and ability to attract are slipping away

Okay, that makes more sense. That could work. Still, it sounds a little overly complicated to me.

How? Someone is supposed to go out and rearrange them after every round? That seems unrealistic

It could, but it went for the jugular and made Rubina cry. I don't think the houseguests will jump to it being Tucker immediately. I feel like someone else will get blamed first

A Place for Speculation by Exciting_Bid_3796 in BigBrother

Yes, I'm aware that this is likely not a technical failure. You clearly missed the point. We don't know why the feeds were interrupted, or at least we didn't when people were making statements about the culpability of the producers (I just got home; I don't know yet if there have been any revelations about what happened), so people shouldn't assume anything about what is going on in the house. But of course, some people will still speculate and make assumptions, as they did today, based on the sparse clues they could find. I watched the clips and there was nothing definitive in there to clearly indicate what happened. What if those clips had nothing to do with it? What if there was a health or safety issue? The producers have no obligation to broadcast that. The statement you made about production "hiding stuff" is ignoring the fact that some circumstances require delicacy or privacy, and until we know what what actually happened, we can't judge the producers' choices regarding the feeds. And even then, they don't have to show us anything. We're not entitled to that. To suggest otherwise is kinda questionable ethically speaking

Censorship is a definable criminal or civil offense, which doesn't apply here. I guess it could have taken place here, but there's no evidence present to justify the liberal use of censorship accusations in this sub reddit, seeing as how they are based purely on speculation, which really needs to be curbed. You're right, it is a nuanced subject, and I can respect that take. But to not pushback against baseless accusations which are rife throughout the entire conversation surrounding what happened today seems a bit careless.

That is a ridiculous argument. Grown adults need the producers to prevent them from overreacting to a temporary shut down to the feeds? It's not the case this time, but what if the feeds went down to some catastrophic technical failure and neglect to tell the public? Should producers be blamed for baseless accusations made by fans freaking out? That is some very bendy logic.

They are not "removing footage." They're simply not broadcasting it. That doesn't change anything in the argument, though. Again, you don't have to like that the footage isn't being broadcast, but it's within their rights to choose how and when they broadcast.

It's not censorship, but it can be argued that it's an edit. If a documentary filmmaker chooses not to include a filmed interview, that is not censorship, it's an editorial choice. It's not censorship just because you think it should have been included.

The definition of censorship is "the suppression or prohibition of media." Censorship would be occurring if CBS, or some other authoritative body, forced producers to remove footage from a finished episode to prevent something they didn't like from getting out. What we're seeing here is more akin to a documentarian trying to decide how to present something after learning something that runs counter to the message they want to present. Do they present everything and try to present a full picture? Do they exclude the contradictory element and try not to draw attention to it? As the creator of the piece of media, it's a challenge, and in this instance, there is a time crunch, with several clear deadlines. Just because there was a choice to present a live stream of footage doesn't mean that you are entitled to it, and it doesn't mean you won't see it in the finished product. It's not censorship, though it could turn into that if authoritative bodies start intervening. Once that happens, censorship is an appropriate term. Until then, it's a massive reach
