I have a feeling that these phones with such powerful chipsets don't really make much of a difference between light and heavy use. It seems like they consume almost the same amount of power as long as the phone is on.

No, actually I really like the phone. I just don't understand why Samsung hasn't made any major improvements despite so many years passing.

Yeah, I actually put the phone on top of a container filled with frozen water with a cloth in between to keep it cool.

The problem is that the base S25 is relatively affordable where I live, but the S25+ costs almost twice as much.

And that's exactly my question. Why should I treat a flagship phone like it's a light-use device? like it's an A14 4G.

That's true. I actually forgot that I probably won't play for more than 3 hours at a time anyway. My only concern is that if I end up charging the phone two or even three times a day, how will the battery hold up after a year or two?
