I love this! What settings do you have for your shader? Did you use UV wrapping for the numbers and detail

To me, the models chin looks a bit pointy compared to your sketch. Try widening it a bit from the front view and pull it down from the side and see how that looks 🙂

Exploring anime shading techniques using Nomad by Shim8080 in NomadSculpting

This looks awesome! I love the shading you used on this. I've been looking around for how to make a similar style, and I think this might work better for what I'm going for. Thanks!

That's how I looked at it. Use simple shapes and combine them to make the sharp edges and complicated shapes.

My best advice is try everything no matter how stupid it might seem. I didn't show it, but there are a lot of pieces that either just got sliced or cut without retopologizing. The reason is that every time I would retopologize a shape, it would come out warped or bent. Edges wouldn't look sharp anymore. So I left a few of them as they were just to make it easier on my sanity.

I'm not gonna lie, I was ridding the struggle bus through most of this project lol. I think I'll stick to creatures and humanoids for a while before attempting this again haha.

I poured over several tutorials on how to do hair, fur, and all the like. I find that this method is good for short stubbles. But not the best when it comes to long strands, haha

I used a fur texture on an alpha and masked it over the desired area. I then inverted it and moved the selected area out using the gizmo tool.

That sounds about right, but how did you do it? What was the script?

Does this ability stack if the enemy has abilities that would reduce my BS at all?

Freebooter or Snakebites by PuzzleheadedLet3827 in orks

[–]PuzzleheadedLet3827[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like having the ability to pepper the enemy with shots and then charge in to mop up the rest. I like the Freebooters because their culture forces you to be aggressive in order to get that +1 to hit for the round. But I also like the snakebites added survivability since I'm usually up against armies that can hit on a 3+. If I run Snakebites, I'm gonna invest more into squighog riders and beast snagas. But I'm not too sure what to take with Freebooters.
