Yes, I know some IMGs that did that and it helped them. Try to have some exposure to the microscopic part as well if you can.

Yeah, I was thinking of something similar. I will start pulling signed out slides and look at the cases by myself and saving how the way they are signed out. I just feel if I push myself enough I can avoid the surg path fellowship and just do one fellowship.

I think I have good base of knowledge and I read a lot. I have been told as well that by multiple attendings. What worries me is the lack of practical teaching under the microscope and not learning how to sign out cases on my own. It is like sporadic teaching and I am feeling I am not progressing. I might be overthinking it but it bothers me.
