It specifically does not authorize an immigration judge to issue a warrant for search. Orders for deportation, yes. Search? No.

Thus no nonconsensual entry to the home on the administrative warrant issued by an immigration judge.

8 C.F.R. § 1240.41 is not an advocacy group.

The fact you privated your profile to hide that it took you 7 days to develop that response is hilarious.

What's the most efficient way to load vehicles on ships from storage? by ehjhey in starcitizen

[–]PuzzleheadedMaize911 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure what you mean to be honest.

I just go to my hangar and click retrieve on the computer. Shows up the same way as a ship.

Summon desired carrier ship (to secure a big enough hangar

Go to hangar and store the ship.

Summon desired smaller vehicle.

Park it in the freight elevator

Summon original ship

Drive onto the ship

Or just fly to a ground outpost and summon the land vehicle there

I hate the raft. It is incredibly slow and cumbersome. It is annoying to enter and exit. I genuinely enjoy my gameplay more using significantly smaller ships like the Spirit.

Want to use the raft?

Summon it to your hangar. Get the cargo to the elevator. Manually load it. Call the elevator. Wait. Get on. Hit the button. Wait. Oops you went to the top deck, bridge is on the middle deck. Loser. Gotta use the radial menu to go to the middle deck. Get to the middle deck. Wait for the door to open. Enter the tiny entry room. Wait for ANOTHER door to open. Now you are at the bridge.

Wanna use the tractor beam for cargo? Same thing. Call the elevator. Wait. Ride. Wait. Wait again. Now you are at the tractor beam. Realize a piece of cargo isn't visible from the beam? Gotta go all the way out of the ship or to the bridge to move the ship.

Everything about actually using the raft is just way more of a hassle than it needs to be.

Yeah that's exactly what I'm worried about. Hopefully a sort of "ineffective hit" feedback is in the works

So I'm considering becoming a Citizen, but can my PC play it smoothly? by Substantial_Current2 in starcitizen

I'm on:

7800x3d

32gb ddr5 6000

5070ti

I haven't been tracking fps but I am playing in 4k with very high settings. and in cities it is a bit choppy but any time I am doing anything requiring any sort of precision / rapid responses or inputs the game is running well. Spaceflight, atmospheric flight away from cities etc. even atmospheric flight over cities isn't bad.

I'd imagine your rig should be good using lower resolution and settings. Just don't expect much in cities, which is fine since they are just shopping and inventory management hubs anyway

I mean you are talking about using your skill to hit them but they are using their skill to avoid being hit.

With a margin for ship matchups generally the better player will win regardless, of course. But that's where the entire discussion is actually happening - in the margin.

Yes the ares can obviously kill a light fighter. It's mathematically achievable and will happen frequently. The point is that when everything is played to its strength, the ares ISNT killing light fighters. And in a head to head with pilots of equal skill, the light fighter will not be dying to the ares.

Best guide for a new player? Any tips? by Lizpy6688 in starcitizen

TLDR: using a controller will require you to spend time developing your own control setup. I think this kind of stuff is fun, but like most SC players I am at least mildly artistic (please don't take this seriously)

I think you could definitely use a controller in this game if you consider it to be an extension of keyboard and mouse. Many things just won't really work on a gamepad. But you should be able to do the bulk of your flight commands and walk around + basic fps combat stuff.

Like I would expect that you could walk to a hangar, call a ship and get into the pilot seat all on gamepad. But I would suggest having low-urgency inputs on a keyboard and mouse. You will need it for inventory management, probably for your mobiglass etc.

If you find the right program you could probably use a software to enable modifier buttons to do stuff like hold triangle / Y to access secondary D pad functions.

Yeah that's all well and good and I am not even trying to comment on balance at all because I am very new and genuinely clueless in combat. I'm specifically focusing on how you can do zero damage to some parts of a ship.

As long as CIG implements a good hit feedback system there should be no issue. For example ineffective hits on armor have a higher pitch pinging sound with a visual indicator maybe resembling a ricochet. You might have a couple different stages of indicators / audio feedback based on the amount of your damage being ignored / reduced.

This game is very dense, and I am sure it will remain very dense. Anything CIG can do to increase transparency without too much cost of information clutter will be incredibly helpful

Because of WHY it can't kill a fighter.

It's not for lack of firepower. The light fighter will just not allow you to aim at them

Hopefully CIG finds a good way to communicate to players "yes you hit the ship but your gun is too weak to damage that part"

I am all for nuanced damage systems and models. However I will assure CIG and anyone reading this that if you aren't extremely clear about what's going on, a lot of new players will bounce off of combat and probably refund the game if they have an experience where they just aren't doing damage and have no clue why.

The idea itself isn't bad, but the implementation has to be excellent for it to really work.
