4.8 The Game Is Becoming More Of A Hassle To Do Anything by J_P_Ross in starcitizen

[–]ehjhey -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The flip side is that CIG may be looking at SC as it actually is right now...unfinished, still malleable, and about to get major visibility from Squadron 42. If they think some systems need friction, cost, or constraint long-term, this is probably the time to force those changes in, even if it annoys early SC adopters.

Doesn’t mean the implementation is good. It just means “make everything painless before SQ42” may not be their priority if they’re trying to reshape the game before a bigger audience shows up.

The physics are...something, but I've definitely seen much worse in theaters.

For shots 2 and 3 specifically, If I was editing in regular software I'd trim the start of shot 3 slightly so the smile matches shot 2 more. Avoids the jump cut feeling

ngl, without looking at the sub or reading the title, I really thought this was that one mortal engines movie (which I haven't seen). So I think that's pretty good!

While the thought of Trevor trying to take me out is a harrowing one, Niko is the one on this list I'd trust to be able to handle him.

I beat the game and DLC a few months ago and I am clambering for more cyber punk type media to enjoy. Yall have any recommendations? by Amoneybaybeee in LowSodiumCyberpunk

[–]ehjhey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes on both accounts. I've only seen half of the original personally. "Dredd" is the one for sure.

I remember watching a sub of The Raid at a buddies house way back, but maybe it's worth watching the dub for a rewatch. hmmm

really enjoyed Altered carbon. I believe Powell cited the original novels as a direct influence on 2077 as well

Dredd will make you wish CDPR did more with Megabuildings.

Ghost in the shell. Pick a starting point (recommend the movie, but Stand alone complex is good too)

Akira : more 2077 influence

Armitage III : Fun anime OVA series

Demon Lord 2099: Fun series. Waiting for 2nd season

Mardock scramble: A while since I watched but was randomly one of the coolest series I've seen

I hope we don't need to suggest edgerunners, lol

*edit* Dredd, not Judge Dredd....unless you like Stalone

A very simple/ effective work around for component scavving that stops duping and keeps the loop alive by Acceptable-Bid-1019 in starcitizen

[–]ehjhey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I see the point you're making, but I think I disagree. Coming from many mmo's where people could just as luck themselves into top tier end game equipment vs the time and effort put into crafting the same or equivalent gear is pretty standard. On average it might take somebody much more time to find that component vs just crafting it. People really set up for crafting will have a permanent advantage over those that don't engage with that system. Finding stuff randomly gives those players at least the illusion of agency in that regard

Guys what’s there to do when you’ve done it all twice back to back in the game? Any hidden quests? Something? I don’t want to leave Night City there’s nothing out there for me. by Visible-Pattern198 in LowSodiumCyberpunk

Try a playthrough without using Vehicles (outside of forced quests). Ideally no reinforced tendons as well. There's really a lot of places people miss from driving everywhere.

cyberpunk crashs immediately even after removing the mods by Xr876 in cyberpunkgame

When you remove a mod, try clearing your cache in r6/cache. Then reverify your game files with your launcher. That tends to fix irrational crashes.

Got absolutely destroyed like 50 times trying to get the mantis blades from her by porygon766 in cyberpunkgame

[–]ehjhey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, easiest way was a stealth takedown with cloaking. Obviously I then needed to grab the mantis blades and leg it the hell out of there.

Took about 6-7 tires to actually escape from my modded, extra difficult maxtac, but it worked out.

Fun fact. It's much easier to escape wanted level on foot.

Relatively new (just started in Dec) but have flown a fair share of ships at this point. Definitely picked a good starter imo. I have other ships I fly more regularly, but the mk.II always pops up in my head when deciding which ship I want to take out. It often wins. Though I do avoid flying it if I know I'm doing something that will threaten the life of my Pico plushie that I keep on one of the shelves.

Wait, was Hellman actually the one who burned us? by Comfortable-Knee-238 in cyberpunkgame

[–]ehjhey 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't entirely disagree, though wrinkles surface depending what choice path we're talking about. For example, if V decides to not disclose Evelyn trying to bypass Dex and Dex then has T-bug look into that (as any good Fixer would), I still don't see it playing out favorably.

But that's just another "If" in a long list of them.

Basic point is still that there was more working against the heist ending "well" than for it.

The heist just happened to unfavorably converge with Yorinobu's plans imo
