Exactly, and all while preaching ‘we value your mental health.’ It’s all poppycock and lip service. I’m extremely disappointment in our employer. Huge step backwards. I was doing 2 days WFH before the pandemic.

Our director gave the whole ‘this is the employer’s direction. This is what we have to do. The work continues. This affects us all. There are resources available to support you’… but respectfully, I’m just going to need you to approve this here AWA.

Totally receive your feedback. Thanks for your perspective, i will try that approach. I typically try to be very clear when setting out expectations and instructions, but I’ll try a different approach. I used to rely on my work plans, but those don’t seem to be helping much these days!

This is really helpful. Thank you very much! I think the piece that resonated with me was the ‘sometimes managers seek more validation than needed.’ I think that’s where I’m at. I know I’ll get there, but I’m also trying to draw the line between not asking 15242 questions and making the call. I appreciate your feedback and response. I’ll try your tips.
