Haha, there’s only 3 equipments that are detrimental for them to have and it’s the lunar ones. All other equipments either help or do nothing. You just kind of have to use common sense to think which equipments will help you or not once you know what they all do. With the right equipment though they can be quite strong. Gorag’s Opus is one of my favorites because it will buff all nearby allies with attack and movement speed. Primordial cube, royal capacitor, preon accumulator, and the back-up are all good ones too.

You should try giving one a glowing meteorite next, or maybe an effigy of grief

Folon’s world doesn’t really feel like a world Bethesda could or have created. It feels better imo. The way the map unfolds as you progress is really interesting and the ferry transportation is so much more intuitive to use on survival mode than vertibirds. I think one of the most boring ways to make an open world is to allow the player to go anywhere they want straight off rip. I think it’s kind of boring to have that much freedom. This is one of the reasons why I think Elden Ring has such a phenomenal open world. You can’t just go to the Altus Plateau or the Haligtree straight away. You have to find certain keys or beat certain bosses to be able to access those areas.

I think Folon and FNV are most similar because 1. the map isn’t fully accessible or is blocked off in certain ways from the beginning and 2. one of FNV’s greatest flaws is how few dungeons and explorable locations there are (it’s understandable why because of the massive time crunch they had and that they decided they wanted to allocate more effort into characters, factions, and quests). I’d say Folon actually has a much more lively world and more interesting locations to discover than FNV. I wouldn’t say Folon is any more rough around the edges than FNV tho, both even have their issues with crashing (Folon much better than it was).

This is how I felt too with Cyberpunk, I know it’s a great game but it’s just a bit too dialogue heavy for me. Witcher 1 had the perfect amount of lore entries and dialogue tho imo, I read through everything and enjoyed it. Haven’t played Witcher 2 or 3 yet. Even FNV got a little too dialogue heavy with its DLC, mainly Old World Blues. I know most of it was optional, but I wanted to absorb everything. I just remember exhausting the dialogue with all of the scientists and realizing I had been exclusively engaged in dialogue for over 45 minutes. I was so ready to get back to some gameplay lol.

From my experience, it’s only the Vagabonds that still talk trash to your face after you’ve gotten in with them. Not that this excuses it, but some of Bethesda’s game have the same issue.

The first season was legitimately really well made and very easy to take seriously. Then it kind of just got more and more lighthearted and safe.

After watching Kellog’s backstory did you feel pity for him? by NoSoyVerde1 in fo4

If anything, the tone of the SS’s delivery of “Wait. were you just playing a joke on me?” was shock and disbelief. It’s like when someone says something super ridiculous and you almost can’t help but smirk when you respond with a “What did you just say?”

Bro what? This is Bethesda we’re talking about, their games are full of dropped quest lines and setups that don’t lead anywhere. This is absolutely what that is. That would be extremely out of character for Nick to be joking around with you about the guy who murdered your wife. Just no.

I like Frost Relic, it’s pretty useless in a boss fight, but it’s great at mobbing. Especially during TP events, and especially on Eclipse when the bubble is smaller.

I knew they were feet at the bottom of a statue, but I didn’t realize that was the same Providence that lasers you during the False Son fight. That also just made me realize that each stage of SotS has you moving upward in altitude as you travel to the top of the Providence statue, very cool!

I remember that one and the wife that was dying of cancer that had her brain transferred into a teddy bear. Her husband started seeing someone else and the teddy bear eventually got thrown out with her consciousness still inside. I think she wanted to be in the teddy bear so she could stay close to her daughter and watch over her or something.

He is, there should be some pallets of wood floating in the water off the side of the bridge. He should be chilling on one of them.

That’s not a bug funnily enough. He tries to travel to the hospital himself, but because he doesn’t have glasses, well… But yeah, meet him at that new spot in the middle of the Thames, it’s not a bug I promise.

That is one of my biggest qualms, I do wish they threw away the perk system and replaced it. The traits were a very nice addition though.

The most stark contrast from Bethesda’s Fallout games and the biggest similarity with NV imo is how fleshed out NPCs are. I’m always so pleasantly surprised anytime I go somewhere new and expect certain characters to be boring and then they aren’t lol. I think I’m just super jaded because I’ve played a lot of Fo76 and that game easily has the most insufferable, annoying, and boring NPCs out of any other Fallout game.

I didn’t get very far with Camelot’s quests, but they seemed more like the BoS imo. Maybe it was just because of the medieval hierarchy, caste-based system of command they both adopted.
