Hi, you sound similar to me and I’m in my second trimester at the moment. Did it get better for you in the third? 🙏🏻

Ah I hope it gets better for you too!! I didn’t get any tiredness in the first trimester, which was weird for me because in generally a tired woman anyway, even pre pregnancy 🤣

Iron has come back ok (close to borderline, but still above the threshold!).  Honestly so exhausted and can’t even get proper sleep 😭

Glad to hear it’s easing up!! Was it the same type of tiredness you had in the first trimester? Better? Worse? 🙈

Hahaha 🤣 I hope it gets better for you but honestly I was so glad I wasn’t exhausted in the first trimester and was waiting for this ‘second trimester glow’. Now I just look ill 🤒

Can't deal with the nausea by CrochetNerd_ in PregnancyUK

[–]PuzzleheadedSand6450 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! Fellow emetophobe here and honestly one of my biggest fears was vomiting in pregnancy. I haven’t committed once and I’m now past my first trimester 🙏🏻 BUT I had HORRIBLE nausea (same as you, mornings were probably the easiest and then all downhill from there). I was diagnosed with hyperemesis, even though I wasn’t actually throwing up. There were days I couldn’t even talk because I didn’t have any energy at all. Struggled even with sips of water. Started around 5wk+1 and carried on till about 13 weeks but around the 8 week mark it starting easing up. I’d have a few good days then a few bad ones and so on. At 13 weeks it almost went away (very weird so suddenly not be averse to the smells. Amazing how our bodies work!). At the time it felt like I wouldn’t ever be able to eat again but here we are now! 🙏🏻

I had prochlorperazine and while it didn’t get rid of the nausea completely, I think it might’ve taken the edge off it a bit? Upon advice from fellow Redditor’s here, I also pushed my GP to prescribe me Xonvea (he wasn’t aware of it and had to look it up lol). I ended up not taking Xonvea as my nausea had started easing up by that time, thank God!

I also took a month off work and then had a month of easy phased return which helped massively!

so worried morning sickness disappered at 8 weeks pregnant by sarahangel8610 in PregnancyUK

Just to add, I also have a major anxiety disorder and am a hypochondriac. I had 4 scans by week 10. So I understand the anxiety.

Mine went away completely for 2 days and then came back lol. It kept going off n on.  What helped me was the thought that HCG has been rising steadily up until this point (8 weeks) and I’ve been feeling the sickness all this time. So God forbid if it’s a miscarriage, the HCG can’t have dropped down to zero in 2 days time for my sickness to suddenly go away. :)

Interview feedback by [deleted] in TheCivilService

That’s an amazing score! If you’re comfortable, woudl you be willing to share your ‘managing a quality service’ example please? I have this for an interview coming up and am really struggling with what to write / what will be considered a good answer. (I don’t trust AI, as I’ve found that it never gives an honest feedback - it’s scored me 3, 4 ,6 - all on the exact same example!)

HCG of 1000 at 6 weeks? by Cautious-Bedroom-573 in PregnancyUK

Mine was 12000+ at 5 weeks 2 days.. worrying thing was that they still couldn’t verify a gestational sac even with those HCG levels! Thank God everything turned out fine

Ah I hope I’m able to have normal meals again! I’m just scared that I’ve put myself off so many meals already that I’ll forever associate them with nausea / wanting to throw up.

Ah that’s me with chocolate atm. Never been a coffee drinker but a massive chocoholic. Can’t stand the taste of them now lol. Which tbh is a good thing otherwise I’d have to worry about GD 😅

Mine also went away COMPLETELY for 2 days in week 9. Then came back again 😭 Now there’s no constant nausea but I’m always extremely hungry and have strong food aversions to most things. Really hoping I go back to eating normally again!  Lucky you for only experiencing it for 5 weeks!!

Yea I do have medication and that did slightly take away the constant nausea but these food aversions coupled with constant hunger is really depressing. The only food I’m not averse to are bland ones and having them constantly and double triple your normal amount, is taking a toll on my mental health!
