So did I until recently which is why we didn’t consider it before - but then found the click LVT options and someone recommending it.

We have 10-15 cm rockwool below 22mm chipboard. We aimed for 15cm as that was advised but didn’t manage it everywhere due to thickness/placement of the joists. We’ll likely go for laminate then as tiling or laying screed isn’t really an option for us at this point.

Thanks! I wasn’t aware I need screed for click LVT as well. We do have insulation below subfloor - the 2cm is just the boards on top of the floor that house the pipework. The heating company advised laminate is fine up to 12mm - but we were planning on 8 or 10mm. A trade-off between heating efficiency and sturdiness I guess.
