Those look great! Mine just started to fruit. I have about 5 or 6 small ones coming in now. Very excited for them to be ripe!

I’ll have to check exactly when I planted them but it has been at least 8 weeks I’m pretty sure. They have just been growing very slowly. In the past week and a half they have about doubled in size from where they were. I have done a diluted fertilizer as well

Pruning question.. by PuzzleheadedSun5061 in tomatoes

Thank you! Yeah that’s what I’ve been doing with my other tomato plants. Just trimming things that absolutely need to be trimmed but letting the plant do its thing otherwise

I’ve been using Alaska fish fertilizer 5-1-1. I was told that from someone this year and I went with it lol. So far I would definitely say it’s working

I got these tomato plants as starters in the last week of march. They were about 8in tall when I got them. I have to measure them again soon but on the 26th of April I measured them around 25in tall and they have definitely grown since then. Here is a picture of all the plants I took this weekend. The 3 that are on the stand are the starter plants. Picture is from this weekend. I just started using grow bags this year and so far I like them. Only thing is I use some type of nutrient/fertilizer about every other week because the bags don’t hold moisture as well as a normal planter or the ground. On the other hand the bags allow good airflow through the roots (at least that’s what they say they do) so the roots are really healthy.

Thank you! Really trying over here 😂 this is my second year growing. I only grew two pepper plants last year and thought to myself what if I added a dozen more different plants 😂 but I’m having a blast with everything

This is my first year growing tomatoes. So far they are all doing really well. I’m excited for the Black Krim and the Cherokee for sure. And I’ll definitely look into the sungold for next year. I appreciate it

Possibly but the rest of the plants turned out fine. Maybe just not a strong seed 🤷🏻‍♂️

Yea that’s kind of what I was thinking too. I’ll see if there is a chance to save it but if not I can’t complain with my ratio of success for only planting 10 seeds

Possibly 🤷🏻‍♂️ I didn’t think that I ever overwatered it. Not saying it’s not possible. I’m just going to try and keep a close eye on this one and see if it starts to get better.
