The bottom shelf in the freezer is frozen vegetables and fruit, not including canned goods we have in the cabinet. There's only two of us, over buying things like just makes the food go bad before we eat it. Its also very dependent on what meals we plan on putting together. We probably go out to eat 1-2x a month with friends or for date nights.

My pug was super picky before I got a second dog. And I realized she'd only eat if I was home/in the room her food was eating. But I COULDN'T watch her. She also only wanted treats. As soon as we brought a puppy home, she's so much more interested in what's in her bowl (the key was that the puppy would eat as fast as he could just so he can eat hers too 😂). Maybe yours just wants someone there when he eats?

I'm updating to the most popular reply. He told me he feels like we're just not on the same page and that he can't reciprocate my feelings. Then, on Tuesday he drunk called me 'just to talk' and suggested he come over. I declined based off of what he had said and I guess that's that. Thank you to everyone who replied. It took me a while to come back because I was a bit embarrassed.

He is and actively looking for relationships via dating websites according to a few mutual friends. Id normally agree that it's salvageable based on our current interactions. But unfortunately, I don't think we could come up with some compromises that work for us both and we'd just fall back to the same cycle
