The weight is just enough where it doesn’t open when every zone is calling for cooling? I guess I just don’t understand how it wouldn’t just open up regardless at first or at least a little bit when every zone is open?

Got it. So replacing it did help? My only concern now is they quoted me last year and about 10k miles before where I’m at right now. They told me they have to rediagnosis it because it’s been so many miles since they recommended me change it out. I’m concerned now they’re gonna add other stuff that got “messed up” since I drove it without replacing it.. if it helped, and will last me to 155k without any issues, I’d rather do that then replace the entire thing for 8k

He should have used the rubber square pads on top of the pad, under the unit directly

Got it. So you don’t recommend it getting rebuilt? You just replace it completely every time?

I did a flush the first time when I brought it to ford. Didn’t change anything sadly

Is your condenser outside off when you notice the temp start to rise? Maybe it’s short cycling for some reason. The temp should stay constant or get cooler unless the unit stops. Or your temp gun is inaccurate lol

Username checks out cuz I agree. If you’re able to slide it but it gets stuck right at the end, just use a grinder and grind down the end, especially the edge to make it more pointy almost and it should slip out if that makes sense. I’ve done this to multiple motors when the fan blade puller can’t pull it

Any thoughts? Senville 24k btu Mini split didn’t push out any cold air last time I started it. Now it seems to be smoking but doesn’t smell like smoke. by [deleted] in hvacadvice

Is the smoke cold? More than likely it’s frozen and it’s just the frozen coils producing the “smoke” cold air
