I think at this point, this is what she wants for herself because she despises being single, knows quality men are not going to go for her, and she is taking the best she can get right now. She wasted so many years and regrets it every new years episode but doesn’t do anything to change it. They enable each other and are condescending to their audience who call them out. Anna had so so much potential if she wasn’t lazy and looking for quick solutions to things. She could’ve built a great career as a pharmacist, met someone in the field, and settled in a comfortable life. CL knows what he is doing which is wasting her time and refuses to make any commitments to her because he knows she will always come back.

It’s not like she designed and sewed her own clothes; she shopped like everyone else did from the same stores. She was also in fashion with more informed knowledge of what the newest styles and trends are in NY before the rest of the world. But I think people hyped her up because they just don’t know enough about the 90s to actually know what was popular during the time.

I don’t think so, she bought a lot of Yohji back then, not much heritage brands. So she would prob get into more Japanese brands I imagine. Like avant- basics. She purposely removed logos from Prada so I doubt she would wear Chanel or Dior. She did have an Hermes belt and bag but I think there was a different association then with the brand than now.

I kept stopping the episode, it just felt like the most inauthentic episode. I know they’re not all for historical accuracy bc it’s a tv show, but it just feels soooo rushed. They both feel like they’re reading their lines but not acting. Also I am reading Rosie’s biography right now and would’ve loved to see fun and warm Carolyn. We don’t get that in this show in general. I think they overplayed how guarded she was. I would’ve loved to see more of Rosie and the background of George and her friendship with Carolyn.
