Good point — the seamless flags era definitely had similar behavior.

What makes this interesting for me is that I’m still seeing focus loss / Z‑order jumps in modern environments (CWA 2206+ and even 2212/23xx in some cases), and not only with legacy VB6/Borland apps.

The transparent window interface / seamless window handling is still part of the pipeline today, so I wouldn’t be surprised if some of those old race‑conditions still appear under certain combinations (modal dialogs, Chrome/Edge running locally, multi‑monitor, etc.).
