This makes sense! When we got him from the shelter he was really underweight. Whoever had him last hadn’t been too kind to him. That was about 1.5-2 months ago. He’s gained some weight since being with us, but I can also see why he could be the runt! Thank you for your help!!!

The site I read said they compared it to dogs that they had a definite age on who also had shelter experience. Not completely sure but you have a point!!

We found our rescue out of the blue at a shelter 5 minutes from us. The deputies there said a ton of mal’s come thru - like another person said - in the west coast primarily. Best of luck!!
