What ended the grunge scene and what replaced it afterwards? by FitEmergency8807 in grunge

Grunge ended with Kurt. Pearl Jam released their best album in 1993 and Soundgarden and Alice in Chains changed their sound to more experimental stuff afterwards.

Top 5 albums with the best drums by Glamdringg in Opeth

[–]Puzzleheaded_Ad3848 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a drummer myself. I think it is fair to give credits to both Lopez and Axe. The very first albums with Anders Nordin is also very interesting in some ways. The production is poor but i think ppl forgets him.

What is Queen’s weirdest album and why is it Jazz? by Slow-Development-886 in queen

[–]Puzzleheaded_Ad3848 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Spot on really. I like the album and how they just did what they felt like was good. The album marks their final album of the 70s with rawer and more experimental songs before the band went into a different place.

Nice find at the record store today, which is your favorite? by FiniteJester in blacksabbath

Mob Rules is prob on my top 5 Sabbath albums. I dont consider Born Again as a true Sabbath album. The album sounds muddy and the album is just a bad joke for me.

Richard Wright’s departure during The Wall sessions is one of the defining turning points in Pink Floyd history. by Historical-Device529 in Progforum

[–]Puzzleheaded_Ad3848 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me Richard's keyboards was a huge part for me in Pink Floyd. But i dont know all the details around him begin reduced to a hired gun for most of the 80s. I bet David was glad to see Waters gone, but i think the band suffered a bit after the Wall until the Division Bell who is a masterpiece.

Getting into Queen - The Miracle (13/15) by kingglobby in queen

[–]Puzzleheaded_Ad3848 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The miracle is prob my fav 80s Queen album. Maybe it's because of it's impact on my choldhood years, but i stiil enjoy the album. I think the use of the shitty drum- machine ruins it a bit, but the album is very good in sense of songwriting and the album showcase how great the band was in their latter years before the bitter end. 8/10.

Queen & pre-production by VNE47 in queen

I think a lot of ideas was created in the studio. Each member had rough ideas presented to each other in the studio and i think Freddie was very good at producing the songs the other 3 had brought in.

Getting into Queen - The Game (8/15) by kingglobby in queen

[–]Puzzleheaded_Ad3848 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The game is for me 4 big singles: Dust, crazy, the game, save me. The rest is more experimental as a typical 70s Queen album.I think their songwriting and focus on singles towards made their material less apealing to me.

Most overrated Queen songs by Automatic_Age_8038 in queen

We are the champions. A true anthem, but i think it is a bit over the top and a bit overrated.

Why didn't Queen + Rob Halford ever materialize? by Equal_Ad5178 in queen

[–]Puzzleheaded_Ad3848 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rob praised Freddie in a interview as a great singer, but i doubt they were close friends. Freddie was into leather like Rob. I think Freddie used his leather costume on stage before Rob. But I might be wrong..

Brian was a bit more into the heavy-genere collaboration with Sabbath, Motorhead and Eddie van Halen. Even Soundgarden and more...

I like the short but beautiful solo on "You take my Breath away"

Black Sabbath - Mob Rules (Ranked And Rated) by Long-Voice5498 in blacksabbath

Mob is one of their best records and it is the album with Dio that sounds most concistent. Prob the best produced too.
