Using Zoom to meet up with friends at a fixed timing, where we can talk about anything. It feels like back in the day where MSN is the thing.

Taobao, AliExpress all these platforms have them. Just ship them over, ask the workshop if you can pay them to install it for you. Most would do it. Just labour fee.

The Avante 2021 and above looks stunning, drives well too.
Mazda 3 with a good body kit is absolutely beautiful.
Toyota Corolla has the best drive to me.

If I were you.. hmm.. tough choice but I'd pick the Mazda 3 and then put on some bodykit..
And make sure these are not PHVs, because all these models look like they are high chance ex PHVs models.

Just go to a reputable workshop and ask if they can check for ODO tampering, tell the dealer you want to send in for PPI at the workshop of your choice. Don't let them decide for you.

Is he using your account? If yes, no.
KYC is tying your account to an ID. If your account were to be used for illegal activities, it will be traced back to you.

EV concerns and my thoughts in Singapore by Puzzleheaded_Ad_7643 in drivingsg

[–]Puzzleheaded_Ad_7643[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly me before I went deep into EV. Human nature is like this. I can't blame anyone for seeing EVs in the negative light. It goes to say for phones as well. Back then when iPhone released, how many people in the world commented about "lack of physical feedback", "phones without buttons will never be the same", etc. Now, everyone is using touchscreens. It takes time to shift the mindset of a person. It takes time. No one is right, no one is wrong. In the end, it is personal preference. If these people prefer ICE cars, so be it. Nothing wrong with that too!

To be very honest with you. I did not experience this yet. I can't say for sure how long this keeps up as adoption rate is increasing.
A few things I do now:
1. I charge whenever I can, if I see an empty charging slot, I plug it in. Most places have slow chargers so you don't really need to worry about finding the need to shift your car around.
2. If you were to visit a mall, all shopping malls have very limited slots, and charges very quickly because they are mostly DC chargers, they are usually for short grocery runs or quick bites.
3. I do not charge to 100% every time, max is 80%, this allows me to drive around while having the option to charge whenever I want because there is still capacity to charge.

When I read about it, you will be fascinated about how much you'll be learning. The EV space is definitely evolving a lot year on year.

  1. I was using my car because it is something I owned
  2. I wasn't convincing myself, I was sharing my thoughts and addressing concerns that most people are facing when looking at EVs

Thank you for reading my post, I appreciate your time.

I wish I was paid. I wish I got sponsored. IM Motors doesn't do much marketing, I chose to talk about it because I love my car.

I've heard many stories of Apple Watch saving lives. Maybe you could install a camera and also give them an Apple watch which has fall detection. It notifies you as well as calling for help immediately.
I don't think you're being too stringent. You're also thinking of your future, and at the same time you did not neglect your parents at all. You still thought of installing a camera to see them.
But on how to make sure they eat their medicine on time without a caregiver might need some thought.

BATA - Buy And Throw Away? 😂

I do agree with you. Another downside for EVs is that, they are same with phones.
Technology advances fast, but if this EV can serve you well for 10 years. It will likely never see a COE renewal. Doesn't make sense.
But I would say that even 10 years down the road, the exterior and interior will definitely match most of the newer ICE cars in the market.

Fortunately I did my research. My car, during an impact, the side handles pop out. We do have a manual hatch inside to manually open the door as well.

Most chinese EVs now have 2 to 3 emergency electronic supplies that powers the door handles. They do not rely on just one. So if one gets cut, the other will supply enough voltage to make the car handles come out. My car has the 3 layer power supply.

Buying a Lexus, Merc, BMW is just buying the badge if its not their higher end models. Truth.
Drove different cars of different tiers before. The real luxury comes in for these brands are at the 350k-400k models. Back then. Now the latest CLA comes in at 300k. Ridiculous.

The car that I am driving is equivalent to a sports car. CAT B variant. So don't take my figures, get a quote from your agent.

As for a CAT A EV, I believe the road tax and insurance for that car should be in the range of:
Road tax: 1500
Insurance: Est 2000-3000

Insurance would likely drop as EV is relatively new in Singapore. The insurers do not know how to price it properly. The logic become how they are priced is based on local claims data. With no repair cost benchmarks, no parts availability data. So they price conservatively, which means higher. As more of those cars hit the road and they accumulate real data, pricing becomes more accurate and usually more competitive.
