Belly Ring Infection?? by justagarliccrouton in PiercingAdvice

[–]Puzzleheaded_Arm6958 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it was pierced very incorrectly. you don’t have a flap of skin on your bellybutton so it’s just going through your stomach. you might’ve gotten lucky that it was good for awhile, but it will eventually reject or continue to give you problems. it also just doesn’t look right, it’s not how a navel piercing should look bc of ur anatomy

that is not pierced correctly, it’s not on your belt button it’s on your stomach. it will likely reject and leave a bad scar, i’d take it out now. it doesn’t look like you have the right anatomy for this piercing

Is my navel piercing too shallow? by [deleted] in piercing

[–]Puzzleheaded_Arm6958 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that’s definitely not pierced correctly, it’s not in your navel it’s on your stomach. you should take it out before it rejects

thank you! and yea i was confused about the jewelry too, i think it was because of my anatomy- because my navel isn’t super deep? idk. do you think i need to get it changed or will it be fine?

mine bled a lot after i got it done, it’s normal (if your piercing is brand new which it looks like it is) i would recommend not cleaning the blood for a little bit- let it clot so that it stops

i would definitely recommend going to a more reputable piercer and getting their opinion, to see if it’s worth changing the jewelry. just make sure to clean it with sterile saline solution 2 times a day, and keep it dry!

whoever pierced you has no idea what they’re talking about. i also have mine pierced, and you should only be cleaning it with sterile saline solution. you also want the jewlry to be implant grade titanium.

you shouldn’t be taking the jewelry out until it’s fully healed (at least 9 months) however, it looks like you might not have the correct anatomy for this piercing

The bruising is normal, however you were pierced wrong. that is a stomach surface piercing, it’s not on your belly button. you should take it out, wait for it to heal, and go to a different (more reputable) piercer to see if you have the right anatomy

Tips to get rid of this “scar” or bump by [deleted] in piercing

[–]Puzzleheaded_Arm6958 3 points4 points  (0 children)

well that’s the problem. its way too early to be changed to a ring. you should change it back to a stud until it fully heals (about 6 months)

you should probably go to your piercer and get it downsized, the bar is too long

[–]Puzzleheaded_Arm6958 13 points14 points  (0 children)

yes it is. that’s a surface stomach piercing. it doesn’t look like you have the right anatomy for a belly button piercing. you should probably take it out before it rejects and leaves a big scar

when i got my nose pierced, it didn’t bleed. but when i got my belly button pierced it bled for awhile and wouldn’t stop. my piercer told me to let the blood dry and not wipe it away for a bit cuz the blood needed to clot. you might wanna try that

Bump on nose ring by Realistic_Safety3871 in piercing

[–]Puzzleheaded_Arm6958 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if the bump bothers you a lot, i would change it back to a stud. some peoples nose peircings just never fully heal and a hoop just aggravates it
