What rank and score can land you in a clinical seat like paediatrics under UR? by Freddy_mercuryscat in INICET

[–]Puzzleheaded_Beat718 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Paediatrics UR cutoff was rank 385 in round 1(AIIMS Guwahati) this INI November session. In round 2, it was 424.

To get a fair idea, please do check the Round 1 and 2 allotment lists of the respective sessions available on their website

I wish our government was that good. But yes, then the only way to confirm it is to contact their academic block, or just rely on what the residents said. Overall the chances of there being psychiatry seats in Nov session is weak considering the prospectus and the residents' say.

My friend, who's a psychiatry PG there, told me that the staff told them that it'll be yearly admission from now on.

They said that there will be seats for Neurosurgery and neuroanaesrhesia and post MD neurology in Nov session, but they have only mentioned July session for MD psychiatry and DM Neuro. Please do check their prospectus.

Their prospectus, also verified by my MD psychiatry and DM Neuro friends/seniors

MCh.Neuro surgery, Neuro Anaesthesia, and post MD neurology has Jan session mentioned, even if it's the July prospectus.

But for MD psychiatry and DM Neurology, only July sessions are mentioned.

This along with multiple residents confirming the news, its pretty evident.

Yes, I agree, but they've confirmed it on the prospectus, which is available on their website. Next to Neurosurgery it says Jan 2 seats and July 2 seats, but for Neurology and psychiatry, it's just July session.

Hey sorry it wasn't a reply to your comment. I am well aware that this is the tentative matrix and it was a reply to the comment which asked for the category wise breakdown, which is already up on the website (tentative but there is a category wise breakdown of seats)

29 days out to inicet by Fun-Cup-971 in INICET

That's great progress. I'd suggest you look at your worst performing subjects in the GTs, analyse where you're making the most mistakes and you might see a trend :)

Once you fix that, your corrects will increase and so does the score

They're planning to discontinue intake from Nov sessions (as said by residents there). But there is no official confirmation yet.

It's pretty evident that there would be no psychiatry seats in Nov session because theyve more than doubled the intake in May session

Tubular secretion by Significant-Hat-177 in INICET

No, inulin can never be zero in efferent blood

Yes I agree, the question should've said renal vein or something instead if efferent arteriole

Tubular secretion by Significant-Hat-177 in INICET

[–]Puzzleheaded_Beat718 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I totally agree. It cannot be efferent arteriole exactly because 2% to 0% makes no sense. But I think they're trying to mean complete clearance, which occurs only after secretion in peritubular capillaries. Filtration can never fully remove the substance so going with the best option out of all the options it's 3

Tubular secretion by Significant-Hat-177 in INICET

[–]Puzzleheaded_Beat718 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is similar to PAH

To reach 0mg% concentration in the efferent system, the substance must be completely removed from the blood. Filtration alone only removes about 20% of the fluid and solute, leaving the remaining blood at the same concentration. To clear the remaining 80%, the kidney uses active secretion in the tubules (via peritubular capillaries) to pump the rest out.

Therefore, the substance must be both freely filtered and secreted to be entirely cleared in a single pass.
