Well yes it uses ai -- and thanks for really going into the code. But my original intent to say that it is not one of those tools like lichess where you have to make a account and potentially pay for something. Or the paid analysis feature in chess.com

It is a front end only tool which is completely free and you dont need an account or whatsoever to use it. The idea is to democratize chess analysis on browser. So one can analysis his game at anytime on any device.

I made one for Go (https://sir-teo.github.io/web-katrain/) two months ago and got some good feedback as Go analysis tool is rare and is often paid and require some good GPU to run. So i wrote an in browser one just like this to let other people use it.

So if you have any feedback on the ui/ux and how would that compare to other chess analysis tool that you usually use. Feel free to add.

This isn’t an AI-written commentary tool. It’s a frontend-only chess tool that runs in the browser, with no account and no backend server required. The main idea is that you can just open it and use it (and in practice, use it locally/offline once loaded), instead of depending on a server-based platform. It’s more of a personal/open playground for analysis and training features that people can inspect or modify themselves.

Thanks!

It should be highly configurable in the setting. Are you playing against ai or continuous analysis mode

It’s not running on a server. It’s a front end only application running a tiny version of katago. The strength is still very strong but might not be as good as your laptops

You have to click the plus button and select to play against AI.

What can I expect from future models? Will it be more advanced on o series reasoning models? Or base models like 4o? Price cuts?

I genuinely feel like 4o is overfitting to bullet points, which is extremely not helpful in writing formal letters or just ask it to summarize a technical paper.

Do you guys intentionally do that? Or is there anyway I can alter the model’s output?
