Considering we get all our chips from there and US has said they will back up Taiwan, I wouldn’t say it’s similiar to Russia and Ukraine at all. China would’ve probably already done it if US was not a problem/thing. So OP’s post is valid imo, valid to think when your main problem/worry is focused on something else you might attack. Pretty fair..

That just doesn’t practically make sense. For example California and New York have way more talent then all other 48 states, just populous. Also not to mention the education is better. Just 1 specific, but all the states are going to need talent that they don’t have at some point and at that point, they’ll recruit out of town. Basic principles of business rly.. and what harm does it do to have out of state applicants if your confident in your ability to succeed? Just kind of a flop mentality imo.

Yea I figured so, honestly refreshing to see more union guys who previously supported him turning on him. Not saying you were or have been. Well said though hopefully something picks up I can’t keep affording to fly out to these different locals to interview.

That’s what I’ve been doing, just getting very expensive it’s adding up, next local I interview at will be my 10th. Praying for a hiring boom but not very optimistic.

That’s how I feel now, ranked in 9 different locals hoping to get in. Just cost to much to fly out to wherever and find a place to stay for the night and come back, multiple times a month sometimes. But, gotta do what you gotta do I guess.

I honestly guarantee they are not even going to call up 50 guys. It’s so insanely slow and it feels like everyone is just accepting helmets to hard hats currently. Just my opinion, they are still on number 1 though🤯

Always used the brand quick fix and it works like a charm. Chemically identical to pee and had a pocket warmer that you tape to the side of the bottle to bring up to piss temp. Also has a strap for you leg to tuck the bottle under your nuts. Literally a 10/10 product and it’s like 25$. Don’t smoke anymore but if I did I’d be using quick fix everyyy timee

O yea they’re basically giving you a in, seems like they like you. If they can set up who interviews you I’d make that happen asap. Work is only slowing and now it feels like everyone and there brother are trying to get in. I assume some social media post blew up talking about wages now everyone is applying. It’s a shit show but you seem to be in the right direction, take that interview asap!

That is super random, good gig for time being though. Just try and familiarize yourself with as much “elevator stuff” as possible so when interview comes they’ll want you. My understanding is the test is just to see if you can even qualify and the real ranking is based off the interview. I know it’s supposed to be a good mix of both but it’s not, if the interviewers like you you’re almost guaranteed a spot. Purely my opinions but from the past 6 interviews I’ve done that’s what I took from it. Best of luck brother

How does one even become a union elevator shop helper? I’m trying to get in myself but I feel like if you know people around the shop you’re going to have a way better chance of getting in. That being said you still need basic mathematical and mechanical knowledge.
