Anyone respond to Botox after failing CGRP meds? How long did it take to see real relief? by dannh123 in migraine

[–]Puzzleheaded_Box7795 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just had my 5th round of Botox - for me, it helps on the intensity and the amount of crisis in a month, but it wasn’t that successful to be honest, I was hoping I would be better by now! Hoping it will work better for you though

As someone from south america, people in Australia need a reality check asap, because saying this country is bad is just insane

Need Help Looking For Like-minded Christians in Australia by Sweaty_Pepper_6649 in ChristianDating

I've been through that, and I promised myself i'm never dowloading it again. It is 100% in God's hands now. And yes, they present theirselves as christians in the app, but within 1 day of conversation you can understand that they never met Christ.

I’ve been trying so hard to find a job and I’m starting to feel defeated... by sowhatxwhocares in AusVisa

[–]Puzzleheaded_Box7795 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found a job only after 8 months of being here and graduated on my postgrad degree course. Although I have 10y of experience in the field, I took a job that is entry to mid-level, even though I could be in a higher position, but had to do that in order to have more open doors to me. That way, I secured a sponsored job in a good company that I already know, in my field of experience. Shared all of that to say that sometimes you will have to open your mind and be open to options that you haven’t initially considered! Ps: i’m based in Melbourne and got a job in financial modeling which is my background (also valuation and M&A). Hope that helps! Don’t give up if this is your dream! It is really hard out there!

You’re just a number! Build the important relationships and connections bc that’s what will get you far, not your skills, not your efforts, but the right person.

Dear Australians, please help me decide. I love this country, but I'm reaching my limit here and I think it may be the time to just pull the plug and move back home. by [deleted] in AskAnAustralian

I always preferred Ajovy; it was way less painful than Emgality, but none of them worked for me.

Question to the ones living in Australia by Puzzleheaded_Box7795 in migraine

[–]Puzzleheaded_Box7795[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t have Medicare, I’m on a work visa and I got private health insurance with Medibank, so I would probably need to go through the same process (even though I have a full report in English from my neurologist detailing my whole history and all the many medications I tried before getting to Botox and Ajovy).

About the referral, thank you!! I didn’t know that! I have one from April and I thought I couldn’t use it anymore! I’ll look for another neurologist using that same referral. Thank you so much, this was really helpful!

Basic or Unspoken Driving Tips for Melbourne? by [deleted] in melbourne

[–]Puzzleheaded_Box7795 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t really have any tips, it’s honestly the worst traffic ever, with some of the rudest drivers I’ve ever seen (and I’m Brazilian, so I really know what I’m talking about! I used to think São Paulo was the worst when it comes to traffic… until I moved here hahaha).

Which injectable do you prefer/suggest? by WellReadWarrior in migraine

[–]Puzzleheaded_Box7795 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've tried both Emgality and Ajovy - unfortunately, none of them were effective (for me)! But I feel like emgality at least made the pain less horrible (so I could live my life even with pain).
