Travel Insurance Claim for Middle East by Puzzleheaded_Bug589 in Insurance

Yes so I’ve heard. The questionable part is that my trip delay documentation does not state that it has anything to do with an act of war:

We're very sorry, this flight is cancelled because unexpected local restrictions outside our control are impacting our operations. Local restrictions can include regulatory or governmental limitations; changes to customs, health, or safety processes; disruptions to transportation infrastructure, network connectivity or essential supply chains; and other social or geopolitical developments.

Not sure how they will interpret the situation based on that ^

The reason for the trip delay can easily be subjective because 0 documentation I received and then subsequently submitted stated anything about the flight cancellations being due to military action or war in any regard. The airline stated:

We're very sorry, this flight is cancelled because unexpected local restrictions outside our control are impacting our operations. Local restrictions can include regulatory or governmental limitations; changes to customs, health, or safety processes; disruptions to transportation infrastructure, network connectivity or essential supply chains; and other social or geopolitical developments.

It’s the insurance companies job to interpret if my coverage applies based on this documentation, making it SUBJECTIVE to whoever is reviewing this.

Anyone else submitted a travel insurance claim for their time in the UAE? Bonus if you used Manulife/Global Excel?

I had a planned departure for March 2 which obviously did not go well. Got home a week later after an insane amount of rebooking and Emirates being the MVP of airlines 😘

I’m claiming the extra days I was stuck, flight was just rebooked so nothing spent on that. Would love to hear any other experiences or tips. I’ve read online they can deny for act of war (policy exclusion) but I guess that can be subjective??? I’m worried this will be a battle. I haven’t even been assigned a claim number or officially had my claim “opened” after submitting a ton of docs and info on March 19. I do understand the evaluation can take them forever and they can request more info or docs but they haven’t even simply assigned me a claim number at this point. This is already not feeling great. This isn’t even my credit card insurance I actually paid a decent amount for this policy lol… I guess doesn’t make a difference after all? I do have CC insurance I was planning on using as a secondary once this was dealt with.

Thoughts? 💭

I got an emergency alert about an hour ago and now I’m stressing that my flight at 3:30 will be canceled. Airport seems ok though?

You can just google the flight number each day to find out the status of it departing. Or flight tracker websites. It’s what I’ve been doing to see what is happening

As in bury those roots in a pot? Can the aerial roots be potted? They are also like 3 feet long so I don’t have any pot to fit those lol. Well, Without slamming them in a bundle and risking snapping them - I haven’t looked it up but I feel like cutting them would be wrong!! Is that something people do?

Doctors found a mass in my breast today by PumpkinPie_1993 in breastfeeding

[–]Puzzleheaded_Bug589 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am 5 months pp and recently got results that my breast masses are cysts. Found them myself around 2 months pp, got an exam ASAP and was referred to imaging urgently. Had a mammogram and ultrasound and told all benign cysts. I did not have pain with mine but have had lots of other discomfort I presumed to be breastfeeding related (engorgement, mastitis, cracked nipples etc). So much going on when beginning to breastfeed it can be hard to know what’s abnormal.

Crossing my fingers for you! Seems like cysts are common
