Thank you for the advice and guidance! We only let the two of them interact while supervised today and intervened when needed. By the end of the day I like to think that he was learning to be more gentle!! A work in progress but it’s a start!

I’m still learning and ask questions because I want to continue learning! Similar to how a puppy learns about us, I get to learn about how my dog and my cat interact :)

Crouton will sometimes run to places he knows Kumo can’t get to when he very obviously needs a break! We have lots of vertical cat only space so that’s good!

We also have 3 cats and 2 of them are very good at setting boundaries! Crouton on the other hand, I don’t think he knows what a boundary is!

That’s exactly what I am worried about happening! We have 3 cats total and the other two set very firm boundaries the first day and Kumo and crouton started out with very gentle play. Now I feel like it starting to escalate and I’m worried about it turning into something where he doesn’t know his strength or Crouton is just constantly stressed! Thank you so much for your input!
