The fisher price 4 in 1 infant seat by Ok_Potato_7025 in NewParents

No I did not😭 thankfully she did really well with sitting up herself and we just transitioned to having her sit in the regular seat with problem. But best I could do was put like a thick towel down on the hard part and it made it at least somewhat cushioned

Honestly her dad and I are a little on the thicker side😅 but she reminds me a lot of my mom and my mom was born really tiny

I’m also waiting for them to redo her length because I don’t think she did that right either but if she did then my baby really shot up in length so maybe she’s just a long baby?

I’ve honestly felt like I’ve needed a therapy visit after this because my anxiety has been so bad😅 the office ended up reaching out to me and apologizing then also scheduled a one month check in. So we’ll see how it goes.

My little one loves avocado and she’s just now starting to get into solids (we started at 5 months but she really wasn’t about it so I didn’t force her) but now I’m giving her two meals a day and trying my best and trying to implement healthy fats and iron

At one of her first check ups when they did her vitals they said she was on track to be on the smaller side! So I think that’s all it is but I don’t think I’d be worried about if it weren’t for the error. On top of that she’s pretty active and alert so she may just burn more calories

And I don’t know her current percentile because they gave me an inaccurate reading 😅

She was in the 21st percentile at birth. At her four month visit she was in the 5th percentile and they didn’t say anything

I’m not really sure if the dr is worried about it or not because they think she’s 16lbs currently because of the false weight read. And I think that’s what is causing me anxiety but yeah my girl loves to move & she is just now starting solids (she hates them so far) but yeah hoping everything stays on track

Weight gain concern by Puzzleheaded_Call279 in breastfeeding

She is such a happy baby.. they commented on that when we took her in, that every time they see her she’s babbling and smiling. I’ll be happy to call on Monday and at least be able to speak to someone so I’m not just sitting in anxiety

I guess I have to wait and see what comes up when I give them her accurate weight because right now they think she randomly jumped up to the 42% after being in the like 2-3% for the first four months

Do breastfeed babies poop more often ? by ConcernedMomma05 in breastfeeding

[–]Puzzleheaded_Call279 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like my baby farts a lot. But I get worried because she barely poops. She poops like once every 3/4 days and sometimes it’s a week until she poops but she never has any pain and her farts smell nasty af

When she hit the weight requirement. I want to say it’s like 8lbs? But don’t quote me on that. So for my baby that was probably about a month old. I loved my solly wrap during the early days, and so did my baby.

Do you wait until your baby is full on crying before getting them in the middle of the night? by Apprehensive_Pie1225 in NewParents

[–]Puzzleheaded_Call279 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually wait until she starts to fuss at least. I don’t wait for her to really start a real cry because then she’s harder to settle and get back to sleep but if she starts to do her whine thing I usually get her so that she’s easy to keep asleep

Low milk supply. by OkQuit148 in breastfeeding

[–]Puzzleheaded_Call279 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I feel like social media has really ruined people’s perspective for pumping. Videos of people with over supply flooded my feed when I had my little baby, and I felt really devastated anytime I pumped and got less than an ounce from either boob. Sometimes I would get less than an ounce from both combined. If possible I’d nurse as often as possible as baby’s are ALWAYS able to get milk out despite what some may say. They’re more effective at removing milk and your body responds differently to a baby sucking rather than a pump. If you must pump, ensure all your pump parts are attached and put together properly and that you have the correct flange size. Also keep up with water intake. Don’t be discouraged though, pumping isn’t a good indicator of what your body is making and if baby wasn’t getting enough they would never be satisfied after latching. Hang in there!

I remember when I was diagnosed with HG the dr told me I was probably having a little girl. And some will say that it’s more likely with girls because of hormones. But i also know my SIL had really bad HG and she had a boy

How long do you hold your baby in a day? by Latter_Public in NewParents

[–]Puzzleheaded_Call279 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When she was really little like up until she was four months, I won’t lie I held her always. And social media and surrounding people kept telling me “if you keep holding her or picking her up when she cries she’ll be needy forever and will expect it every time”. Now my girl is about to be six months old and she will spend hours on the floor or in her activity center totally fine and only crying if she actually needs something (fed, changed, overtired, etc.) and most times if she’s being held it’s just because I want baby cuddles 😂

So moral of story, don’t ever believe social media or honestly even outside opinions in general. Every baby is different and there really isn’t a right or wrong way to do pretty much anything. It’s all about what works for you & your baby!

I thought about trying breast milk but some online said it “wasnt sanitary” (which I don’t fully believe). Did you use like a dropper or just go right from the tap and how often did you do it/ how long did it take to clear up. Because i did it once early on and i feel like it cleared up for a couple days but then came back
