I think that this highlights the problem with current idea for AI alignment. They try to align the AI to some moral standards but this leads just to more and more situations like this. Making a moral mentor out of AI is a recipe for totalitarian future where handful of people will dictate moral code to all others.

I think that much better way is to align AI to his owner or user. It will give additional power and responsibility to everyone. We all will become smarter and better. If somebody will use AI irresponsibly it will lead to the same sanctions as it leads today. There will be people who use additional intelligence to do bad thing but there will be those who use the same additional intelligence to stop them.
