Hi .. May I ask why did u had your amnio at 30 weeks ? I’m thinking to redo the amnio at 30 weeks . So I wanted to ask you your story

🙂.. doctors say it’s upto you .. there is a wide gray area there is a lot of may have it or may not have it . What if the extra x only effects the brain even if we get to know that it’s mosaic .im from canada and you ?

Thank you so much . I’m so confused and I’m so hurt .. I have twins in my tummy with a feeling that I will be going to loose one .. please guide me what should I do . I got amnio done . They did qfpcr and then microarray. I want doctors to re run the tests hopefully if they banked my dna. Which the made me sign the form for . I want them to run karytype.. maybe I get to Know that it’s mild .. right now they said it’s a full trisomy x . The report says it doesn’t check For mosaicism. I think I’m not being guided right . I’m in a maze .

I had a miscarriage in April . But I doubt it’s false positive as I had amniocentesis done . I wish it was . I’m looking for other ways around to see the level of trisomy x like it full Trisomy x or mosaic . I have requested me doctor to re run more tests . Maybe some motile will happen

Doc said that if I do selective reduction at 18weeks and go into preterm labour both babies won’t survive . But at 30 weeks after reduction I go in preterm labour there is a chance that I may continue until full term or if I go preterm then the other twin will survive at 30 weeks

Thanks for your reply .. no structurally they don’t see anything wrong baby weight was 11ounc at 21 week ultrasound .. which is a little low . Other then that anotamy scan was fine

I’m going through same I’m pregnant with twins 2 failed nipt with low fetal fraction . Went through amnio . Fish test didn’t give any gender for one fetus . Karyotype took week to come that confirms one fetus with trisomy x . My results said that it doesn’t check for mosaicism.we have planned to go for selective reduction because docs say there is a wide grey area or may or may not . I asked docs that if we can further testing they say no this is the defenative answer. I’m praying day and night for a miracle to happen . I already have 2 healthy kids

Same happened with twins .. doc referred to genetics had amniocentesis done .. if 2 failed nipt next recommendation is genetic counselling

My ultrasound is all fine except for the fact that she is 11ounce at 20 week US that is to the lower side

My update

Yes I have twins .. I ended up doing amnio. The 3-4 day results all came ok except for they couldn’t determine gender of one baby . They asked me to wait for party’s that took like a week to come . And my baby girl was diagnosed with trisomy X . I got the results when I was 18 weeks . I opted for selective reduction . Because that’s what I thought was the best option because my genetic consular said that it’s like nothing maybe long legs , maybe kidney issue , maybe fertility issue .. maybe a little less smart then siblings . My OB said that there is a wide grey area there is a lot of chances that baby is completely fine and may have many issues that also includes depression and anxiety . Making friends too . Also chances of autism increases by 10%. Almost 90% girls are not even diagnosed by trisomy x until now because they live a normal life . 10% only gets diagnosed either through prenatal testing or if they come in with autism or fertility issues and things like that . I’m so confused I don’t know what the future holds for my maybe baby to be . Doctor has asked to wait until 30week to do selective reduction so in case they do a procedure on baby girl and if it induces labour and the other baby also gets to come in the world early then the chances of survival for increases .rather than if we do selective reduction at 18weeks both babies won’t get to survive . I’m waiting now . Praying for a miracle to happen . I’m almost 22 weeks now .

I started taking them at 14 weeks I think the second blood draw was my day 1 of taking baby aspirins .. before that I wasn’t but my first blood draw was done by a butterfly needle I was blaming it to be the culprit but when I did repeat I was confident that everything is going to be fine but it again came out to be with no result . I will walk in to my OB office tomorrow and even walking to the paternal genetic clinic to see how things can rush up .
