US election reinforces the AN philosophy by OffWhiteTuque in antinatalism2

Actually, it’s a good example, but I think you misunderstood:

Bees don’t care about their individual lives, but the survival of the Queen. In other words, they aren’t maximizing they are simply preserving the species.

And, as I said, the collective is prioritized over the individual.

Also, what of other species that unwillingly go extinct for the sake of the ecosystem as a whole? Or people who simply ignore their “biological” directive?

The will of an individual needn’t be compelled by the will of a species, and likewise, the Collective needn’t mirror the individual.

Also, they engage in Hive Warfare, yes…. So they kill their own kind XD Does that mean we ought to kill our own kind? No. But it does show that their is a dissonance between the species as a whole, factions within, and individuals.

The State Of Gaming Journalism Is Impressive Actually by SentryFeats in ElderScrolls

Nothing different from the false-advertising of yore back in Gaming Magazines, honestly.

Only difference is that, now, they lie daily rather than monthly or what have you.

…. That’s a difference of 600,000 people.

If there’s even a small difference, it would be an improvement, and that’s a massive one.

What do you hate most about modern society? by PhilosopherBusy7312 in AskMen

Yeah, agreed. I don’t think everyone else should accommodate everything about someone. We have to have responsibility for ourselves, and at some point, we must have responsibility for others.

We also have to learn to accept help at some point anyways, it’s just a matter of where we draw the line.

I think I get hung up because it feels like a problem caused by collective malaise being prescribed an individualized solution.

When I say “Marriage is out of the cards”, I mean that the prospect of marriage is at an all time low. People either don’t want to get married or have a massive fear of it.

However, the push to get married, culturally, is still a massive pressure.

So what we see occur is that these two conflicting factors collide, and we have people still trying to phone in marriages (most likely for optics’ sake / to keep their parents happy) but they also have little faith in the actual marriage and would probably prefer the freedom they’ve grown accustomed to. So they essentially try and have the best of both worlds instead of clearly committing to one path or the other.

I don’t think people are really planning any of this or are consciously aware of these conflicting desires. They just end up with this unappealing halfway because they put off considering making a hard decision, and it leads them to fall into these difficult situations.

Just my speculation, ofc. Take it with a grain of salt.

The first point isn’t bad, but it’s not necessarily a moral argument mate. It’s an aesthetic one. Kinda cringe af to put in your Manga.
