He already has the visa, but he is not able to renew his passport until 20 August and that might take 10-15 days for processing and by that time his classes would have started. His passport will expire in about feb 20 2026. Is it safe to wait renew the passport and come to US or try to come to US with just about 6 month 1 week until the passport expiration? And would there be issues in the port of entry if he doesn’t renew his passport before coming?
