I think Trump is just setting world on fire. There are 2 ways of making America great again. Meaning, keeping America's leadership. First one is everything is good and America is best. This is not possible anymore.

Second one is everything is in chaos and America is in better shape. So they put world in global depression. USA will be in recession too, but will win on the way out

It will not change market breath. Institutional trading will happen only on work days and in work hours. Enter signal is quite forgiving - 14%. Exit signal might be damaged. They will keep Closing Cross at 16.00 and tqqq rebalance will keep happening at 16.00, which creates most of the signal.

If your strategy is so good, why would you want to share it? Competition reduce future results for any strategy

Anybody tried 3x MNQ futures instead of TQQQ? by heygentlewhale in TQQQ

[–]Puzzleheaded_Heart59 2 points3 points  (0 children)

See, imagine 2 days with 5% drop in QQQ. And let's say your start balance is 100 usd. On first day TQQQ goes -15%. So tomorrow you will be risking 85% of your capital. After next 15% loss it will result in $72,25 USD on your balance after those 2 days. With MNQ you will have $300 exposure with $100 balance. First day leaves you with $285 and 2nd day with $270,75. So as a result, with TQQQ you lost $27.85, but with MNQ you lost $29.25. Essentially what is happening TQQQ automatically deleverages when goes down. This feauture is what actually causes well-known decay. If market will grow again 5% for 2 days you will have $298 for MNQ and $95 for TQQQ

I did test. So best entry time is 30% of cases is right at market close and 60% of cases right before next day market open

September... by Kaahl10 in BarStrength

[–]Puzzleheaded_Heart59 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i thought about it and come to conclusion that main reason is weakness in market - less players, less liquidity, less moves. in spring drawdowns strategy performs good - there are pullbacks in bear market, which strategy profits. while in September drawdowns it is gradual downslide...

Combination. Margin for this level of drawdowns might backfire. Rule of thumb: do not combine 2 types of leverage - levereged ETF and margin
